Ship that rescued global-warming scientists from polar ice may be stuck in,  um, polar ice; “climate deniers” rejoice

If there’s one thing Science™ hates, it’s facts and evidence. Wait, that’s  two things. See? Stupid math! Science™ hates math! Science™ is all  about feelings. Feelings like smugness and superiority and disdain. That’s the  basis of Science™.

Schadenfreude is a dish best served cold. Very, very cold. BBC  News:

The Chinese ice-breaker that helped rescue passengers stranded on the  Akademik Shokalskiy vessel in Antarctica may now itself be  stuck.

An Australian ice-breaker carrying the rescued passengers has been placed  on standby in case the Chinese ship, Xue Long, needs  assistance…

“Xue Long notified Amsa [the Australian Maritime Safety Authority]… this  afternoon [that] it has concerns about their ability to move through heavy ice  in the area,” Amsa said in a  statement.

Well, let’s hope that ship doesn’t get stuck too. Pretty soon, that  whole place will look like the nautical equivalent of the last 20 minutes of The Blues Brothers.

Strangely enough, the BBC devotes almost 1,000 words to this story, but not  once is it mentioned what these passengers were doing there. Just seeing the  sights? Trying to prove that global  warming climate change threatens to melt the polar ice caps and flood Al  Gore’s basement?

Who knows? Who cares? Shut up, you climate denier. Now, be a dear and turn up  the thermostat, won’t you? It’s positively beastly in here!
