This is Santa Fe's biggest event of the year. The 2015 festival and open market sponsored by the Southwestern Association For Indian Arts is taking place this weekend (Aug.22-23).
I was charged $166.00 a night for a room at a rundown (but comfortable and clean) Days Inn motel. I arrived early prior to this event, and the Days Inn was empty when I arrived. A "No Vacancy" sign was posted outside the motel four hours later, and the same "No Vacancy" sign was seen later on with other motels nearby. WOW.
Here are some photos from the event:
Santa Fe Restaurant Recommendation: The Cowgirl BBQ On Guadalupe Street
The food prepared was local, fresh, and really good. Vegetarians will love the salad, and carnivores will love the BBQ.
Santuario De Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe
THE ORIGINAL MEXICAN LADY OF GUADALUPE IS HERE IN SANTA FE, JUST DOWN THE STREET FROM THE COWGIRL BBQ (on Guadalupe Street, of course)
This symbol is very big with Latino culture:

Wow. Amazing pictures.
I was amazed by the women's clothing. The Navajo and Blackfoot Indian tribes had great clothing and they combined todays styles with themes of their culture. The clothing appeared "other-worldly" and simply gorgeous (and expensive).
