'Materialism' Is Unfalsifyable

First I must warn you because 'materialism' here is wee bit ill defined. I donnot use 'materialism' to mean the beleif that matter is all there is. This definition is nolonger sensible in modern times. Since the discovery of X-rays, mass-energy equivalence, radioactivity, Debrongile Waves, antimatter, chaos etc has ultimately lead to a redefinition of 'matter', it only make sense to redefine 'materialism' as well.Perharps I should not call it 'materialism'. 'Randism' might be a better word named in (dis)honnor of His Skeptic, James Randi. So I won't offer a verbal deffinition. I will attempt an ostensive one.'Materialism' is the habbit of rejecting such ideas as soul, afterlife, God, angels, demons, telepathy, freewill, telekinesis etc. It is not the naive 'rejecting that which is inexplicable by science' for an event as 'quantum entanglement' is far much more bizare that all the above combined! It is accepted by many skeptics even though they don't understand it. Why? Simple, apparently they think that it is explicable by blind universe. So your are there! The best redefinition of 'materialism' is 'the denial of consciousness as to play a role in the fundamental workings of nature'. Whether or not someone beleive that 'matter' is all there is is NOT the relevant thing!!Now lets get to the point. A skeptic nomerly issue a kick back card. A debate whether or not telekinesis etc is real becomes a game of trying to shift the burden of proof. Somehow, a 'paranormal' scientist (like Sheldrake) is pressed too hard to prove paranormal to a gang of determined skeptics, something which realy never happen in science. In science, we realy don't prove. We more of FALSIFY the competing theories. This mean the list of all theories that are on the ring of the 'last man standing battle' must all be FALSIFYABLE, including the 'paranormal claim'.Though paranormal claims are often unfalsifyable, at times a scientist succeed to device a clever way round. We see Sheldrake do that. Even NDE experience COHERENCE OF TESTIMONY test IS falsifyable but NDE passes the test!!But how do 'materialists' take the beer? The answer is that the chameleon of 'science' now stealthly swap the hats! Science is now about PROVING and not FALSIFYING. 'Randi' is allowed to brew any far fetched 'perharps' and he always has endless dwidles to the extend that 'Randy's' stand is effectively UNFALSIFYABLE! If all we neaded was to spit out any 'perharps' and kick the burden of proof to the proponent, then non of the mainstream science theories can stand and science would never make any progress!! Rather, the objecter must object with a FALSIFYABLE theory, not unrelated, far fetched 'perharpses'perharps the 'UFO' is an asteroidperharps there are paralel universes created via inflationPerharps evolution take place in jumpsto harvest the best from all universes, 'science' has become a two headed mounster. It is both a collection of facts and baseless speculations. Our dishonnest cardsman releases the right card from under the sleevs whenever it suits him!

Don't mistake premature perception of conscience "Paranormal" indicates by definition, something beyond the personal comprehension. Perception.

The same applies to spirituality, a definition for that which differs in speed of vibration. Sound.

Humankind lacks conscience, global instability is proof. The personal aspect interfers with "god"

Our genetic line holds onto harmful information derived from past turmoil and conflict. Much like instinct, knowledge, passes onto nature in form of behavioural patterns associated with survival.

We are subject to our troublesome genetic heritage.

Conscience, god, remains as our most perfect state of being, inspiration and renaissance. But for this to take effect, the personal aspect must take a step aside.

This leads us to personality. Since this might manipulate the personal perception, either for convenience or ailment. Ego.

The personal element is damaged, this creates conflict in our world.

Good spirit, behind the definition of 'paranormal'.

But you must understand that this puts lots of things under the folder of 'paranormal'. For instance I, and also many pple find gravity quite incomprehensible.

But I also normally want to trace things back to ancient times when some of these ideas and words were invented. For instance, 'spirit' in bible was translated from 'ruach' which simply mean 'wind'!! So originally pple were simply in search of what can be there but which eludes perception. Exactly what this stuff is is irrelevant. What counts is CONSCIOUSNESS. We need not force a person to beleive that something 'beyond matter' exist if they happen to beleive that 'wind' has some consciousness.

Evidently, Jesus knew that wind was more of a good analogy. He clearly saw there is a fluid like entity in space that can, like wind, exert a visible causal impact to the world but which itself is imperceptible. He chose 'wind' as an analogy to describe it to Nicodemus but only because that was the subtlest thing know in his time. In our time, he would certainly use quantum field, electromagnetic field, neutrino field or higgs field. Pple reject these as candidates for what Jesus might have meant by 'spirit' without a tickle of trying to understand these things!!! They are only guided by the stereotype that if it is acknowledged by science, it can't be the spirit. This naivity is a disease characteristic to modern world. In antiquity, all KNOWLEDGE was seemless. We either understand nature well, or we don't. There is no 'science', 'normal', 'paranormal', 'metaphysics' etc. These words are just for CONVINIENCE in organising knowledge.
