It is one thing to hear about earthquakes and very dramatic to see it happening. I can't image the fear that it causes when things start to crumble like that. Very humbling and could make a person feel so helpless and vulnerable indeed. Thanks for sharing this, I had never seen an earthquake happening and it was very sobering to say the least. People take for granted the earth on which we live and when earthquakes happen it is a reminder of how important the earth we live on is, and how fragile the earth can be too. That is why we should always take care of the earth and not abuse it, it is the foundation on whih humanity dwells. When I think of fracking and all the horrible things that mankind has done to the earth like pollution, strip mining, depleting the forest and plunding the resources it makes me so sad and ashamed of what mankind has done to the earth without a thought of the consequences.
I agree with you Marique, it is very saddening, as the Earth is a living entity. It's as if she is trying to shake some fleas of of herself. Yes we are slowly cutting down the forests, polluting the waters and the air. It's high time that we start taking care of her in a meaningful way.
