Time Magazine Goes Both Ways On The Polar Vortex: ‘In 1974, Time Mag blamed the cold polar vortex on global cooling’ — In 2014: ‘Time Magazine blames the cold polar vortex on global warming’
Via Real Science:
In 1974, Time Magazine blamed the cold polar vortex on global cooling.
'Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world.'
Forty years later, Time Magazine blames the cold polar vortex on global warming
'But not only does the cold spell not disprove climate change, it may well be that global warming could be making the occasional bout of extreme cold weather in the U.S. even more likely. Right now much of the U.S. is in the grip of a polar vortex, which is pretty much what it sounds like: a whirlwind of extremely cold, extremely dense air that forms near the poles.'

So you don't think the way we treat this planet matters or has any effects?
You don't think spewing millions of tons of pollution into the atmosphere via dirty energy is an issue? These things do effect the planet and are responsible for climate changes.
I am inclined to think that anyone who doesn't admit that, doesn't want to take responsibility for treating this planet with respect. No amount of facts can convince climate deniers what they don't want to believe, regardless of what we believe, some things are true regardless if we believe them or not.
So we have to save the planet by lying about the effects of carbon dioxide on the planet (WHICH ARE NONE, EXCEPT HELPING OUT WITH PLANT GROWTH)? All coal burning facilities now have "scrubbers" that only allow water and carbon dioxide as the waste product (and outlawing di-hydrogen monoxide would be far harder than carbon dioxide). Closing down coal burning facilities for pollutants is one thing, but closing it down for items needed by plants and the human brain (to regulate breathing) smells funny. THIS IS A SCAM, USING A "save the earth theme" TO ATTRACT GOOD-MINDED PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW THE SCIENTIFIC FACTS (and are willing to shell out money to politicians to "save the earth").
General Electric has coal burning facilities that are exempt from Obama's Global Warming agenda, since they contributed heavily to his campaign. Look it up if you don't believe me. And General Electric designed Fukushima, so we know they are wonderful about "saving the earth" and thus should be exempt from this global warming nonsense.
To what ends?? Creating stricter pollution policies?
Why are you so in favor of letting the biggest polluters on this planet get a free ride?
All civilizations on this planet (not only America) understand the importance of taking care of the planet they live on. If you think global warming or "climate change" is a sham, I suggest you look at China as an example. The air is so bad there some days they can't even go outside...
I'm pretty sure that every country doesn't want their atmosphere looking like this...
Also, about 97% of Scientists agree that how we treat this planet has effects and that is directly related to Carbon Dioxide emissions and Pollution from Farming and Dirty Energy.
Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities,1and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. The following is a partial list of these organizations, along with links to their published statements and a selection of related resources.
