I felt the need to share an important tool that can be used to accelerate your ascension...MYTHOLOGY! Many folks relegate mythology to fiction and pay no mind to it, but it pays mind to you :)
Myth is like a universal language filled with parables and fears that we need to release...well first Acknowledge, Process, and Release. The zodiac is universal time--a unit of measurement--better yet a context of the situation. These settings are "places" and "names" that represent the energy flowing through creation. Mythology is a way for us to categorize patterns of energy so that we may begin to journey back to ONE.
On our journey back to unity (for this is what ascension is about), as individuals we have "aspects" or parts of ourselves that have "fallen" into duality. We are no longer whole within ourselves--we are no longer "one" with the Creator, and we all know that anything other than the expression of unity is an illusion.
Mythology is filled with stories about "mini-falls" or dualities, and as such they are filled with fears. They address the many deep fears that humanity suffers from. These are the symptoms of an illusion--the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, are all emergent from the same energy. The intention we put behind energies make entities/beings/contexts seem "positive" or "negative", but true reality is much more neutral. And mythology are stories in our collective conscious that remind us of times when we forgot the penultimate Law of One. Dreams are an important mechanism to relay these stories in contexts that make sense to you--to personalize the universal.
Creators of the universe are now taking on the responsibility to heal humanity so that it may return back to The Creator. It is time for all creators and co-creators to run their fingers through the material we call Earth and take responsibility for it. We need to recognize that we have fulfilled roles similar to our "census" of fears and dualities called mythology and to release ourselves from these separations.
Every myth has its impossibility. There is always something a little unexplainable....and this why myth is relegated to fiction. "How doe s/he have super strength?" "How did she get pregnant as a virgin?" "How did they return from the underworld?" "How does s/he know things that we are heretofore oblivious to?" This is what equates myth to fiction. But what if these stories were of real accounts--perhaps the details have been 'enhanced' over time, but the story--the underlying principle/archetype remains the same. Again with each archetype representing a "duality" or a fall. As mentioned, each creator--for all of us have created our situation--is now being required to drop their baggage. To make it back to ONE. Everyone's path is different, but....as within so without and as above so below....
As we heal our mini-illusions that collectively create the grand illusion in our minds and bodies, the universe will heal as well. Our kids will lead lives in abundance....rich with opportunity. And by "opportunity" I mean the ability to achieve that which is imprinted on their DNA...what is "in their blood to do"...to express themselves the way the Creator intended. Opportunity is not equivalent to the ability to acquire mass amounts of wealth or to attain a position in a hierarchy that gives more weight to those who venture farther away from "one".
We are all in mythology--whether you are a star-crossed lover (the story of King Arthur), vain and in love with your own reflection (Narcissus), feel tricked into accepting responsibility you did not want to undertake (Persephone), or have had your love interrupted by a jealous sister (Ishtar and Ereshkigal). These heartbreaks occur because we lose sight of the Law of One. We are all one, we are all the energy of source...there is no need to be envious, confused, depressed. If you find yourself reenacting any of these "mini-falls", look at the source of this situation/feeling. Be honest. Look through a mythology book...identify with the fall, the character, the setting...and call upon the name associated with this fall to acknowledge, process and release this fear. We are all on our way to one, but we must release our ancient baggage....we must. Our vessel must be filled with light in order to ascend; there must be no barrier between your vessel and the light of the Creator. Integrate the light of the Creator into every crevice of yourself. If you feel a blockage...something that just won't release...mythology is just one tool in your kit to release your fears and come back to one. We love you and miss you and we are not ONE until you are :)

Thank you for sharing these wonderful insights. I agree that there is much to be learned from myths and ancient stories handed down from generation to generation whether true or not, stories with morals, stories with inspiration and all sorts of things we can gain insight from and as a tool of release as well. New Age philosophies in many ways tap into mythology, in more modern terms and settings perhaps but there is much to be gained as well. Generations go through all sorts of changes and belief systems and legends but I notice that a lot of abandoned so called myths and legends are reappearing and being discussed and revisited like fairies, sylths, dragons and some less than beautious creatures like reptilians, demons and Djinns and even evil aliens. People are studying and discussing Atlantis and Lemuria and middle earth again, whereas in earlier generations back it was considered simply myths and people gave them no mind. Now people are talking about what can be learned from these stories and beginning to think that maybe they are not completely myths at all but perhaps hidden history that may have happened in some cases. Whether people believe these myths or not, it does not matter really. It is a good thing because there is so much to learn about human nature and human shortcomings and about peoples dealings with things like technologies for instance as in the case of Atlantis and etc and its impact on mankind and about what can go awry when people do not heed warnings about bad things that can happen when mankind goes to far against nature. The examples you gave are awesome and those myths appeal because they are the epitomy of human behaviors downfalls and pratfalls, and the lessons they teach are timeless.... I do not think that it is any wonder why these things are beginning to be talked about and believed in once more, we have so much baggage to release as we are on our way back to One.
