So they have discovered a lifeform at the bottom of lake in Cailfornia that substitutes phosporous for arsenic as its basic building block. So now that there is a bona fide example of life "not as we know it" they are now accepting that there may be 'life not as we know it" elsewhere. I could have told them this years ago, to look for life that runs on different systems as we have here. Its a step forward I suppose.
What this discovery allows ,is that a planet with an atmosphere filled with ammonia for example ,now wont be immediately discounted as not being able to support life. Since prior explorations have focused on the presence of 'what we consider" to be the vital ingredients, continued examination of planets that dont hold these qualities was considered not warranted.
The more you look, the more you will see.
Since those of us who are intuitive and have the capacity to comprehend things that have not yet been proven,I might as well share my thoughts on this. I have had the odd impression over the years which I hadnt spoken of,but later were indeed verified by the slow plodding along of hard science.
Now I am not a scientist, I am an astral traveller. Here are some of the things I have intuited.
Any planet with a system of solid, liquid, and gas,any system that contains a framework of relativity within it,even if it be of a radically different temperature may possibly have some form of animated lifeform on it. Because human scientsts seem to only look for things based on their assumptions they often miss what is right in front of them. The search for life currently focuses on "Goldilocks planets" planets that sit within a zone that allows for liquid water.
I had thought about htis alot, that different elements, are either solid, liquid or gas depending on their temperaure.
I have had visions of places with oceans made of something that looked like liquid Mercury, maybe Gallium, silvery shiny liquid metal oceans. Contemplating this further,I came to the realisation that even at -100C there could be places composed of different elements, that have a solid, liquid and gaseous frame work. Same goes for higher temperatures.
Life froms that could possibly exist in those conditions would have to be based on a different system to what we have here on Earth. The basic building blocks for some kind of animated organism would be different.
So now that it has been proven that other systems exist, beyond what "we had considered to be possible" I figure I might as well share my thoughts on it.
Just putting the thought our there.
One thing you forgot to mention is that this press conference will be held in Washington and it starts at 2pm.
