Our contemporary times have an obsession for results. And all efforts putting into a process must serve for getting results. There is a mentality being exposed everywhere, that each effort must be worth a result, otherwise efforts lose any worth putting on the line.
Such mentality is a calculating one. It is free from affection and mercy. If you all consider from the view of worth and profitability, you are not more than a prostitute and a brainless jackass.
In fact, there are many things in life without any clear results. One is for instance our human ability to hope and dream, where many dreams do not come true. So what? Will you stop dreaming? Many things we do and think we do and think not for results, but for simply doing so...
Plato wrote one of his "heart books" called "Politaia", where he exposed his thoughts on his dream republic - how can it be ruled by goodness and justice.
Over many years Plato was invited to watch and take part on this mighty project. A student of him was at court of Dionysios I., a tyrannic ruler of Syracuse. Come here, his student Dion said to Plato, come here and influence the ruler to build your ideal state!
Plato ended in slavery, but came free. Years later the cruel ruler died and his son Dionysios II. came in power. He himself loved both, Dion and Plato. Again he came at court and tried to form the young man to become an ideal ruler. Again Plato left in a disaster. And came later a third time at court. Dionysios II. finally was overthrown and fled. Plato`s dream failed. His "Politaia" was only a republic in his mind. And survived over 2000 years.
Many have laughed about the old thinker. It was only a dream, they said. No results. An impossibility. A paper state, a dream republic.
This is something only sensitive and thinking people understand - human`s ability to dream and have visions against a status quo. These are the men and women living mostly without any result. They often fail. But they contaminated other men and women with their dreams and visions giving hope wings to fly. They spoke of new states and God dwells among humans (Revelation of John) and wrote about new worlds and structures. Yes, they failed presenting any result, and often they landed in mental institutions or got silenced and killed.
But in such strange humans hope has got form and void, and in them lived a spirit of rebellion against a sleepy mankind and against deadly status quos. And each mind of such human tasted a bit like prophet and poet and seer of new realities. Without them the world would be a place of sadness.
And they lived without presenting results. They were just there speaking of his dreams and visions.
I just wanted to mention this incredible ability of human minds...

many find it difficult to just live in faith, to trust your gut instinct to the bitter end, knowing and only knowing that it will and always has taken care of you. Many need proof, they need something tangible which they can see and touch and know to be proof of existance, whether that is their own existance or the existance of something new and unusual to them. Scared of the unknown, they hold the darkness, the lack of knowledge tightly around them least they find out that what they knew, what they had worked for was all a lie. There is NOTHING to be scared of, if you're scared you are just scaring yourself. You're playing into what the darkness wants you to do - do nothing, remain fearful and get someone else to make your decisions for you. While I totally agree that discernment is necessary, following your heart is a lot easier to do when you have faith in your own success, before you have even stepped one foot on the journey. Be aware that your head has been taught to not believe something you can't see or prove, you have been taught to lie to yourself, to believe your ego and logic over and above anything else, especially your heart. You read something, you get excited but its a bit out there. If you can't prove it, why does it resonate with you? Because you KNOW its true, your heart tells you its true and gives you confirmation of that by way of emotional response. Have faith in yourself.
If Plato had been in charge of it instead of being advisor, the results would probably be different. He had FAITH IN HIMSELF. Even though it didn't work, it doesn't mean that it couldn't work, it just couldn't work in those circumstances with those certain people. The dark has been in control for a long time, easily during Plato's day and before. "Many have laughed about the old thinker. It was only a dream, they said. No results. An impossibility. A paper state, a dream republic." - how many times have you been laughed at when your heart tells you something is true but others find the idea so 'out-there' that they can't comprehend it and find it easier to laugh at you than to change their perspective and look at it from your side, to even try to understand where you're coming from. Yet Plato kept writing, kept thinking, kept dreaming unhindered by those who wanted to bring him down. He figured (or I would like to think so) that faith in ones self is the way to success and he knew that he was years ahead of himself in terms of ideas. I still believe we haven't caught up, regardless of technological advances etc. We haven't learned what we were meant to learn, the situation is repeating and getting worse because we don't have faith in the Universe, in ourselves. Only we can get ourselves out of this, only we can help ourselves so that the heavens can help us.
