Billions of barrels of oil have been discovered at a site near Gatwick Airport in West Sussex, the largely rural county that could controversially become Britain's Texas.
As much as 158million barrels of oil per square mile could lie underground, according to UK Oil & Gas Investments, the small oil explorer which has been drilling at the Horse Hill site.
The find is one of the biggest in recent years and the firm's chief executive Stephen Sanderson told the BBC, 'Based on what we've found here, we're looking at between 50 and 100billion barrels of oil in place in the ground.'
He estimated that 3 to 15 per cent of the oil could be recovered, which could mean anything between 1.5 and 15billion barrels. By comparison, the North Sea has produced about 45billion barrels in 40 years

Her blood runs sluggish in Her veins
Her lakes and sacred rivers are polluted
By countless poisons that man has made
Her forests and meadows too soon will be wasted
As Ragnarok and Armageddon draw near
But the Apocalypse is man-made -- not fated
Caused by arrogant scientists playing God
It's time we stand up for the Earth and all that is fair
Or else Death will soon come knocking on our door
How come he is so familiar? You have met him before...
He calls himself "Gene Manipulated" and he is everywhere
So shall we idly stand by and see the Earth dying
And passively witness the end of the human race?
Or shall we exercise our Goddess-given freedom and rights
And stop the usurpers who would snuff out our lives?
Shall we really go down like cowards, meek and silent like lambs?
Or shall we take back our power and with it the keys to our fate?
For if we all stand up united and fight for what is righteous and good
We may yet save the Earth, our fair planet
But we must act now -- or it will be too late!
NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS HOW MUCH DAMAGE WILL BE DONE TO MOTHER EARTH???

Don't despair. This find will help turn the British Islands into the worlds biggest and richest coral reefs in history, in the future. :)
The extra CO2 the world will get from all this will provide great help into making our future reef a reality. I've seen it, and it's beautiful. ;)

Yes, and that reason is that some stupid fools of humanity decided to build a civilisation there some time ago, which was later buried and over time, compressed and broken down into raw oil.
And now, it's Your turn to become the oil of the future, unless you go for cremation after death. If you do, you'll not become oil, but food for plants instead. ;)
In short. There shouldn't even be a civilisation on the English Islands at all. If you live there, find somewhere else to live before Nature does it for you. ;)
People need to shape up or ship out
it's EXTREAMLY important that no more harm is done to Mother Earth and to repair all harm that has been done to Mother Earth....extreamly important ..I can sense that she is in great pain...actually there was an ancient sacred text The Laws Of Manu that tell you how to treat Mother Earth with great respect or face the penalty and consequences

The oil is there for a reason and must be left there but mankind must find alternative natural ways that do no harm to Mother Earth
What you do to Mother Earth you do to yourself.
Enough damage has been done to Mother Earth so this oil find should be left as it is...IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR IF THEY START GETTING THE OIL OUT THEY MIGHT FIND UK A SINKINGF COUNTRY IN THE NEAR FUTURE
