  I agree, force is just as natural a part of the universe at large, and sometimes force is required as a reflective experience for enlightenment.
  
  If someone was wielding a knife at me, path of least resistance applies, if I can do something about it without harming anyone then that is what I will do. If not, and only by doing nothing can I be assured of harming none, then no matter what they are demanding, its probably not worth someone losing their life over. (Though there are exceptions to every generalism)
  
  I would most probably attempt to disarm the knife wielder and once acomplished we would have a chat, but only beacuse I have had the training to deal with those situations, and its all very dependant on circumstance.

  I wish you well on your journey. Though I myself no longer have a problem being happy, I also respect very strongly the unhappyness ( and even anger ) emotions, and recognise the "do something about it".
  Don't forget your empathy and do what you can when you can.
  
  Light and Love for your active endeavors, no matter what they are.
  And dont worry, eventually you will come to see your empathy as a blessing, as I did. Till then, we are here for you when you need us.

  thank you all for your responses. thank you peekay for the letter, it made me reliaze :). but im still confused about something if we see someone do something bad then what do we do. i mean like in god's letter ittalks about you do not have to hug the attacker who weilds a knife. but i sttill dont get what we do. do we walk away? and hope that he rises above it? i promise im not condoning but just still confused. thank you again for the letter :D it helps.

  And I empathize with you, Robert. Sometimes being an empath does not "feel" like a blessing, does it? Feeling what others are feeling is sometimes agonizing and sometimes joyful, is it not? It's kind of a two-edged sword? So, perhaps that's what is meant by "rejoice with those who rejoice" and "weep with those who weep"? This to me is proof-positive of our oneness.
  
  I feel that Mother Earth is a school room for many, and, hopefully, when there are enough of us to realize that we are ONE in Spirit, perhaps we will get tired enough of watching and feeling others suffer so that we will Truly Unite and work together for the good of all mankind. It's a dream of mine.
