Peaceful Warrior is a film based on a real story.
Dan Millman is a university student as well as a locally famous gymnast who dreams of winning a National Championship competition and participate in the Olympics. He suffers from restlessness, and on one occasion Dan attempts to compensate for it by running along streets before sunrise. At a car-service station, he encounters an old man (whom he later nicknames "Socrates") who seems to know more about Dan's problem than Dan himself knows. Dan is unsettled by Socrates' knowledge who, prodded by the impatient and defiant Dan, gives the boy a series of tasks and lessons. Lessons that, after Dan suffers a grave motorcycle accident and sees his leg and dreams shatter, will show to be more deep than he could ever imagine and change his life forever.
The film contains messages about the way to spiritual evolution.
