In most alien encounter stories, those who have experienced extra-terrestrial contact recite fairly similar experiences which recall them staying in close proximity to the planet Earth. However, over the years a number of individuals have come forward with claims that they have visited other planets courtesy of alien visitors. Most of these stories have proven to be audacious frauds but some of them raise some incredibly exciting questions about the universe beyond this planet.
The first collection of stories concerns individuals who claim that they were selected as emissaries for humanity to travel to alien planets and learn incredible secrets that could further the progress of humankind.
One such individual in Howard Menger who claimed that he had been interacting with alien beings since the age of ten years old when he was contacted by a bizarre female creature who informed him that he had been chosen for a great destiny. He claims that he interacted a number of times with visitors from Venus and Mars and helped them to integrate with the human population on Earth. He would later come to believe that he was the reincarnated spirit of an alien from Saturn who had experienced a long and loving relationship with a woman from Venus.
Dana Howard also claimed that she was in contact with a mysterious woman from Venus, known as the Venusian Diane, who said that she would help her to understand the culture on this alien world. Howard would go on to detail Venusian medicine, technology, and their amazing form of teleportation which used the power of thought as energy. Later, Howard would claim that she too entered a relationship with a being from Venus. She claimed that they married on the planet Venus and raised a family there.
George Adamski was a Polish immigrant who encountered aliens for the first time when he and his friends went to the Mojave Desert in the hope of seeing a UFO in 1952. They did indeed encounter a UFO on their trip and decided to chase after it. There, they encountered a small but very handsome man who communicated with them using telepathy. He said that his named was Orthon, and he came from the planet Venus and wanted to warn human beings about the inherent dangers of nuclear power. Adamski would also claim that he had visited the Moon where he had seen intricate cities, forests, and snow capped mountains. He also said that Mars and Venus were both populated with friendly and gracious alien creatures. He became incredibly famous for his claims. However, his reputation was somewhat punctured when it was discovered that his adventures were merely a re-hash of a science fiction book he had written called ‘Pioneers in Space’ and that most of his evidence was badly faked.
In the same year that Adamski made his supposed first contact with aliens, Lockheed Corporation aviation employee Orfeo Angelucci claimed that he had made contact with aliens from Neptune following a ballooning mishap. He had numerous encounters with alien creatures who told him that he was extremely special to them. They also warned him about the dangers of communism and claimed that humanity would meet its end in 1986 if it did not end its ways.
Other people have claimed to have reached alien planets without the assistance of the beings who lived there.
In the nineteenth century, William Denton claimed that he and his family were able to visit various planets in the solar system by the power of divination. Denton’s son, Sherman, claimed to have visited Venus where he saw giant trees shaped like mushrooms filled with sweet jelly. He also claimed to have visited Mars where he said that was a race of aliens with four fingers, yellow hair and wide, blue eyes with flying technology. His wife would also claim that she had traveled to Mars and was able to describe their art, culture, and religion in some detail. They also claimed that Jupiter was populated with a race of blue-eyed blondes who were capable of flight.
The Swedish philosopher Emanuel Swedenborg also claimed that he had telepathically visited other planets, but he claimed that he was being guided by God. He claimed to have visited Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn where he came across various races of beings all of which were fairly similar to humans.
A slightly different story came from a supposed whistle blower named Captain Kaye who claimed that he had spent seventeen years on Mars protecting the five human colonies on the red planet. He claimed that there were two native species there – one insect and one reptilian who often engaged in bitter skirmishes which resulted in huge losses of life. Unlike most of these stories, this one has been validated by other individuals such as Michael Relfe who claimed that he also carried out operations on Mars and Laura Magdalene Eisenhower, who claims to be the great granddaughter of the President who said that she was approached with a view to becoming a member of one of the Mars colonies.
