At least 2 or 3 times a week i go diving at my favorite beach and always i spend my time getting shit out of the water. Today i fished 12 botlles of beer 7 cans of beer and 5 plastic bags out of the deep...PISSES ME OFF!!!! Yesterday some kids had a party at the beach...left laying around at least 2 dozens plastic plates, twice as manny beer cans, botlles and plastic cups and 2 feet away there are 4 empty trash containers where they are supossed to throw their shit in...:((

    • Yep..it might become a life time work.
  • Cedric it is the same here it does my head in ,the ones that really pissme off are those that put thier stuff in a bag do it up and throw it out the car window , and how may I ask do you piss in a bottle while driving , then offenders throw that out the window as well, how do I know because when my ponies were on the side of the road the shit ended up in thier field and I had to pick it up and throw it away.Don't care these people no respect for mother earth.

Why can't they take it home and put it in the bucket.
  • I find myself being very "anti-plastic" these days. It just seems to never go away. Everytime I turn around there is an empty water bottle, plastic grocery bag, or whatever blowing down the street, stuck in trees and what not. It doesn't biodegrade. It will be around long after us and our children and our children's children. Recycling only takes care of so much of it.

I've also heard that heating food in plastic causes breast and other cancers because the plasticizers leach in to the food. I've switched to glass as much as possible when cooking food, or even transporting it for that matter. I don't know how true it is, but me and plastic just don't vibrate together anymore.
    • I am in total agreement with you, Danica. Another point to consider is that plastics are petroleum-based, and if one observes how very much plastic is used today, then we can understand the "push" for oil. I use all the plastics I have over and over and make an effort to keep as much as possible out of the landfills.

I don't know how true this is, but, I have heard that the #1 plastics found in our landfills is disposable diapers.
      • Aahg! Yeah, I wanna drink some water from a dirty diaper! YUMMY! LOL
  • I see this constantly in the city where we live. It's just absolutely unbelievable that people won't walk a couple of feet to deposit their trash. Someone once said to me something about people being lazy, and I responded with, "No, it's not laziness.....it's just not caring.....period!!!"

I agree with Danica, Cedric, while you are only one person, perhaps, just perhaps someone will see you doing this and join you.....a chain reaction, possibly? Anyhow, thank you for your contribution. I know Mother appreciates it. :))))
  • I am thankful that you are there to clean it up, that you take the time to be conscious of the Earth and her well being. You are only one person, but you are making a difference. There is that much less trash in the water now because you took the time to care. Blessings to you, Cedric!
