South Park reveals that corporations are indeed like people (as the U.S. Supreme Court stated) in the sense that they too can lose money on Wall Street just as easily as you or me could. The removal of the Glass-Steagall Act (which prevented banks from investing in risky investments) currently has resulted in large banks running to the current U.S. president with threats that if their investment (a.k.a. gambling) loses are not bailed out by the government (and the U.S. taxpayer), the stock market will crash and the economy will be in ruin for them. It is a subtle form of extortion at a very high level.
