THE UNIVERSAL LAW OF FREE WILL EXPRESSION
There is a Law that states: “When a soul is involved
in an incarnation of voluntary service for God, and in
the course of that incarnation does not fulfill the
obligations of the contract, the contract itself
automatically becomes renewed.” What does this mean
to you? It could have several interpretations. Let me put
your mind at ease, and please remember what we have
said to you in the past—that you, as a conscious
personality, are not responsible for the actions of your
soul, that you as a conscious personality have not
existed in the past. You exist for the duration of a single
incarnation, and all energy is then absorbed by the soul.
As an example, let us say that you are consciously
aware of the service mission of your soul, and you are
not in agreement as to placing yourself in this service
capacity. It is not something that is to your liking, for
you have desires and wants in other areas of
expression. When the incarnation will have come to an
end, your soul will not have achieved what it came here
to achieve. What takes place? What occurs is that the
soul will be involved in another expression to
accomplish the same task or mission for God. It will not
involve you as a conscious mind, for you will not be
here. There will be another conscious personality that
will be involved in the attempt once more to complete
this pattern of service. This is the Universal Law of Free
Will Expression.
What I have said to you is not as cut-and-dried as it
may seem to be. When a conscious being becomes
aware of the existence of its soul, there is a feeling of
oneness that takes place. There is a blending of the
higher and conscious minds into one, sometime to such
a fine degree that there no longer seems to be a
separation of the two, and you begin to feel that you
and your soul are as one. When the incarnation has
expired, the soul has taken with it the all of this
conscious personality and knowledge, and brings it back
once again. Perhaps it will utilize it in the future,
perhaps not. But it always retains these past
experiences, and has the capacity to bring it forth to
consciousness should the occasion arise. A truth is a
truth and when one makes a commitment, the
commitment must be fulfilled—if not now, then at some
point within the future. But all will be done.
