If anyone feels they have a better understanding of what they are trying to do and WHY, please share.
You intuitively hit the nail on the head, "From what I gather so far, it's not necessarily that they are evil, but that they lack normal human emotions, specifically empathy"
They have an elitist mindset and see the rest of us as "goyim" or "useless eaters" or "sheeple" etc which are terms they bandy about.
In fact, many are not that human as you and i would specify "human". Sure, they may have a human shell, but the being or consciousness is not terrestrial in some cases, and in other cases, the original incarnating soul is sitting in the back seat whilst a low level astral entity (often, once again, not of this Earth) is in the driving seat. Good examles f this are Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsefeld, Condaleeza Rice, and NZ's very own Helen Clark.
