I haven't made a post in awhile, to which I apologize. I've been busy investigating a couple things, as well as maintaining my social life (my girlfriend dislikes it when I suddenly act cold due to work), and then there's attending school... So I figured I'll use this post to share a little story of mine. Well, to be more accurate, it was a 'projection' to me, but it most likely is something my crazy brain came up with to satisfy some odd psychotic need. I do not wish to claim that anything I state is true or false, because I cannot be entirely sure myself. I'm not a God, Angel, or Devil, all those creatures are things I enjoy hunting actually. I'm simply human, perhaps a bit demented due to thinking/knowing I don't have a soul, but still human. I hope you do not mind.
I suppose it started with the arrangement. The spirit organization I collaborate with asked me to work with an independent member of what I think was some kind of inter-dimensional system or group. Their goal was basically to give our solar system a sort of "United Nations", a "United Dimensions" if you will. It was a strange group so I'll avoid explaining anything more from them.
Anyways, this independent member. For now I'll call him "Cobalt". Cobalt brought with him his group of co-workers/close friends for me to meet. I was supposed to help them excavate a dimensional tower, which is basically a very small pocket dimension filled with who knows what, they're created through intensive thought. After a brief introduction to each other, Cobalt and I shook hands.
That was when it happened. I saw something light up in his brown eyes, like a blue flame of some sort, I believe we both froze there though. There seemed to be this large fluctuation of energy that suddenly appeared upon contact. This effect disappeared after about 2 minutes. We then released each other's hands to see what had changed. All of a sudden I find that Cobalt's friends were all pointing their weapons at me. Pistols, Blasters, Beam-Swords, someone had what looked like a crossbow. I didn't exactly react to the weapons pointed at me, because had I moved even in inch I would have probably had my brains blown out, and I'd rather avoid having to repair that part of my spirit body.
It seemed that Cobalt and I shared some kind of similar factor within our souls, or should I say lack there of. I immediately inquired on whether or not he had a proper soul. He didn't answer me because he was unsure, which is completely reasonable, I shouldn't have even asked such a question. He commanded his friends to stand down before we would begin to figure out what happened.
I suppose this is a good time to explain what 'abilities' or 'powers' I use in the spirit world. I'm not sure how I acquired it, or learned it, or how long I've had it, but I think I have the ability to copy the powers of comrades. I'm not sure how to describe it, if someone leaves a lasting impression within my mind I generate a power under their name or I copy something they can do. It's kind of handy, but I wish I fully understood it.
I believe Cobalt had the reverse ability of mine, where as he could turn a field on around him to negate any form of magical ability (I actually have something like this too, but it gives me a headache as well). So if I 'create', I guess Cobalt would 'destroy'. We observed after the contact, that everyone around us had both of our abilities. The most common ability people found they had was the ability to suddenly generate energy-like fire that could alter its properties. This energy propulsion ability of mine was allocated as #1, so I wasn't surprised. (You can skip the next paragraph if you dislike my silly explanations, or you can stop reading since I guess I'm pretty silly in general, sorry.)
Oh, I should probably begin to mention that I number the abilities I've mastered, sort of for organizational purposes. It's mostly to not give myself a headache. My inner geek/dork also occasionally gives them names, like #1 is called "Judge of the Dead", because the flames remind me of Yama, the Judge of the Dead in Japanese mythology, said to also govern fire. The number order is odd. I used to number them by order of which I got them, but it got out of hand when I started experimenting. The numbers range from -1 to 22, with spots #7, 9, 16, 18, and 19 being open.
Ah, it seems my bed time has approached. I'll have to continue this later if people wish me to, although I doubt it. I hope you enjoyed the silly story, maybe if I'm less chopped for time I'll actually convert these into an actual story format.
