The question arises "What is a flower?"
The most common answer would be along the lines of " a colorful set of petals on the end of a stem which are very nice to look at." This is not at all incorrect yet is quite a narrow view of all in which a flower is. An organism can only be described in the context of ways in which it is different than the environment in which it exists. Now lets look at the question again.
What is a flower?
A flower is the whole of the universe; the sun, the rain, cool wind, day, night, the earth, a fertile field of soil, other plants and animals. A flower is a root system connecting it to the life force of the earth, the stalk and leaves which collect the life force of the sun, the bud containing the petals, the seed it produces.
In essence a flower is all that is. As below so above, as above so below. The microcosm is the macrocosm. One cannot be defined without the other because one cannot exist without the other.
Such is our relationship to The Creator. As within so without, as without so within. The idea of separation is a delusion of the most disturbing nature. Neither you or I am
"alone" as we cannot exist without the context of our environment. We are our environment and everything it contains as our environment is us. Let us not get full of
ourselves and believe the universe will stop without our presence but neither can be defined accurately without the inclusion of the other in the definition.
Since this is the case we must stop separating ourselves from the being we call God and existence in general and realize we are an integral part of all that is and are
defined as such. In essence we are our environment and the essence of perfect balance as everything we perceive is in perfect harmony for the growth of "the all" no matter what our narrow field of vision "believes" is wrong with the environment of reality.
The nature of the existential universe is to achieve equilibrium. Since there can be no movement in a static environment the only option for growth is dynamic change. We
must be the flower and sway in the wind of change for if we remain rigid to change our stalk will break and we will struggle to recover and survive in a thriving manner in
which is the great design.
