Each existence is exposing itself in reference frames. Thus an existential mind is finding reason and sense to express itself. Existential expression is always focus expression.
Reference frame The Divine
You get aware of the "other than you" and try to find relations.
Reference frame My Stuff
You always relate to yourself in a way not getting aware of the "other than you".
Reference frame Common Science
Your awareness follows only paradigms of common science keeping you apart from different views which are throughout possible.
Reference frame Lust and Satisfaction
You follow the hedonistic paradigm without getting aware of "desert experiences".
...
You might find other frames according your understanding. The reason for looking at such subject is to get aware of the variety of different possiblities allowing you to follow different existential expressions.
Now you see why different people with different approaches might not always understand each other. A "Divine type" might not follow a "Lust and Satisfaction type" and vice versa, although both have reasonable frames allowing them decisions, and none of them is generally wrong.
The question is where a chosen frame is leading to. This is a question of consequences. Generally a "Divine type frame" is looking for inter relating revelations and ways of unity, while other types point to separation and existantial singlehood by emphasizing speciality and uniqueness.
There is no better or worse, for both general existential standpoints are possible. And why not? An unfolding Being has decided to unfold that way.
The question of importance is another one. Not, preferring unity over uniqueness or Divine over Lust and Satisfaction, but this:
letting all happen as it wants to happen and letting go. That means knowing that all is vain but an epiphany in time and space ready to change. It is the change that is the everlasting constant in Being.
And awareness is knowing that all fades away, so you can all let go...
