Respect

Respect

I've been told before I'm supposed to respect everyone's beliefs. You know what? I don't. Should I respectthe belief that some races are superior to others? Should I respectbeliefs that divide people, spread hate and promote fear? Now, I havethe deepest respect for every Human Being on this Planet, but I can'trespect a belief that disrespects Life itself. Is it disrespectful ofme to not tolerate intolerance?

Take religion, another belief I'm supposed to be respectful of. Yet it's divided people like almostnothing else. I don't think there's a single belief systemresponsible for more death, destruction and hatred. And I'm supposedto be respectful of religion? I can't be tolerant of religion and berespectful of peace and human life. That would be like promotingpeace while saying war is still okay. I want everyone to be united inLove, that can't happen while things like religion still dividepeople in fear.

Many people view a spiritual person as someone who is tolerant of everything. That's a recipe forcomplacency and ignorance, not spirituality. Gandhi didn't put upwith injustice, he spoke out against it, and so did Jesus, Mohammadand every other person who really stood up for God and Love. Youcan't respect disrespect, otherwise you're promoting the intoleranceas well. And there's no contradiction here, tolerating intolerance ispromoting intolerance, not being tolerant. Any institution, anybelief, any system that divides deserves no respect as these thingsspread the very opposite of what respect is. Any person who trulybelieves in Love should be speaking out very passionately againstthese things that spread ignorance and fear.

Love,

Will, Mother & Father God

  • I don't think you have to respect anyone's beliefs per se, but I personally respect anyone's RIGHT to their own beliefs
  • a mans character is his destiny.
  • Very well said and stated and I agree. The basic beliefs of many are OK, but many are taken too far and out of context. The main religions are good at the core, but used more to control than to help. The core being the hearts of many, NOT the controlling leadership.

  • Given your previous topic, let the war continue, let me know if you manage to resolve this paradox.
    • What war?
