    How is a gold backed currency going to prevent anyone from cornering the market in their expert field?

      That part is explained here. Don't get me wrong, I'm skeptical myself, but I'm convinced something like this is what we need and it does have parallels to certain things. The long term plan would be to eliminate money, like in Star Trek.
