Rumors are mostly a projection of the individual who started them. Gossip is almost always a personal confession either of malice or imbecility.
One should examine oneself for a very long time before thinking of condemning others.
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.
We all have a responsibility - a responsibility to make a difference, to be an influence, to lift someone. We are all in this together to work out our salvation, to reach our potential, and to be our brother's keeper - to help each other.
Gossip and slander are not victimless crimes. Words do not just dissipate into midair. . . . Words can injure and damage, maim and destroy - forcefully, painfully, lastingly. . . . Plans have been disrupted, deals have been lost, companies have fallen, because of idle gossip or malicious slander. Reputations have been sullied, careers have been ruined, lives have been devastated, because of cruel lies or vicious rumors. . .
Your words have such power to do good or evil that they must be chosen carefully, wisely, and well. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. Say only what you mean.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not repeat anything you will not sign your name to. The biggest liar in the world is They Say.
Rumor travels faster, but it don't stay put as long as truth.

Thank you Bella.. you nailed it perfectly.. to express ourselves through Love and only Love.. to rise above the gossip and rumors.. and to be impecable with our word... our clear expression.. LOVE.. and every word in your blog contains only Love Bella... thank you :)
I actually thought about creating a thread... Sometimes I have read people write about their beliefs in one way or another...
I do not know how people live what they call a spiritual life, when it comes to a practical sense... So I was quite curious if many settled with a belief that they liked or if they actually are more objective and perhaps searching for truth
Perfect, well said and absolutely the truth. Thank you for this wonderful reminder. The words spoken in anger or hate are often sharper than a sword, and hurts just as badly.
Words once spoken can rever be taken back. Remember that always before speaking.
THANK YOU!
