Earth Mother's Pain
The Earth our Mother is crying
Her tears are falling down
As acid rain they strike us
But we shrug our shoulders
And go shopping down town
The Earth our Mother is angry
At the desecration of the land
Red lava bleeds down Her mountains
But we care naught for Her pain
As long as we have money in hand
For greed makes us blind to the beauty
She has given us to enjoy and preserve
In Sacred Trust for future generations
And all the creatures of the Earth
Deluded by words we made fools our leaders
In our folly we crowned them as kings
We gave them the power to lead us to doom
Oh why did we trade our precious freedom
For the cheap bauble of economic bloom?
The Earth our Mother we have betrayed
As we allowed the rape of the land
And blindly put our health and our fates
In greedy business men's and doctors' hands
It's high time we return to the Ancient Ways!
For the Earth our Mother is dying
Her blood runs sluggish in Her veins
Her lakes and sacred rivers are polluted
By countless poisons that man has made
Her forests and meadows too soon will be wasted
As Ragnarok and Armageddon draw near
But the Apocalypse is man-made -- not fated
Caused by arrogant scientists playing God
It's time we stand up for the Earth and all that is fair
Or else Death will soon come knocking on our door
How come he is so familiar? You have met him before...
He calls himself "Gene Manipulated" and he is everywhere
So shall we idly stand by and see the Earth dying
And passively witness the end of the human race?
Or shall we exercise our Goddess-given freedom and rights
And stop the usurpers who would snuff out our lives?
Shall we really go down like cowards, meek and silent like lambs?
Or shall we take back our power and with it the keys to our fate?
For if we all stand up united and fight for what is righteous and good
We may yet save the Earth, our fair planet
But we must act now -- or it will be too late!
