Venus is considered the most important planet in Central American Mayan astrology. The Mayans used the position of Venus for determination of important social functions (trade, commerce, social promotion, teaching) and also anti-social functions (war, human sacrifice, thievery). From a western astrology perspective, Venus is never more than 45 degrees away from the Sun. It's orbit around the Sun is 225 days. Here are some more important facts about Venus below:

One aspect of Venus that many ignore is the political aspect, especially if law is involved. Venus is usually strong in charts of lawyers, politicians, activists, and political events that are law-related. One good example of this is the recent public turmoil in Washington D.C. regarding the voting for and the swearing-in of new U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. These events took place as Venus went retrograde in the sign of Scorpio (and formed a Square with the natal 2nd House placement of Venus in Kavanaugh's horoscope chart). The timing of his swear-in is below (outer wheel) and is relative to his natal chart (inner wheel):

The combination of political-based Venus going Retrograde (in the detrimental sign of Scorpio) along with the vote-in and swear-in of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice (who is not popular with a political section of U.S. voters) defines a strong potential for turmoil. And with U.S. elections taking place Nov. 6, the current retrograde phase of Venus (Oct. 5 - Nov 15) must be looked at due to the strong possibility of political and social chaos unfolding as the U.S. Midterm Elections take place during the Venus Retrograde. To understand how social and political chaos can unfold during a Venus Retrograde, let's look at how Mayan astrology viewed this phenomena. The Mayan God of Quetzalcoatl was considered to be the representative of Venus. When Venus is in retrograde during the "Evening Star" phase (i.e. Venus can be clearly seen above the western horizon as the Sun sets), Quetzalcoatl was considered to be in a law abiding and fair position. Teaching others and awarding social promotion of citizens was also prevalent (or encouraged) during this phase of "Quetzalcoatl With The Spear Down." The Conjunction of Sun and Retrograde Venus (which will take place Oct. 26) is an "Inferior Conjunction," and marks the beginning of the Venus Retrograde period referred to as "Quetzalcoatl With The Spear Up." This also begins the period of "The Morning Star" phase for Venus (with Venus rising above the eastern horizon right before sunrise). According to Mayan astrology, this is usually a period of much social and political chaos. Wars and plundering of others were usually declared  and committed during this phase of "Quetzalcoatl With The Spear Up," along with human sacrifices. Mayan priests seeking protection from "an armed Quetzalcoatl" reportedly grew their fingernails long for this chaotic phase of Venus, sacrificed a young woman, and flicked the blood of the victim off of their fingernails towards the retrograde Venus rising above the eastern horizon. This chaotic phase of the Venus retrograde is highlighted in yellow below:

Below are horoscope examples of horrific acts of murder that took place during the phase of "Quetzalcoatl With The Spear Up." Please note that when I conducted this search, I looked for placements of Venus in Scorpio and Venus in Aries because these are the detriment placements for Venus, and thus may indicate energies least favorable from a social and political harmony perspective.

This phase of "Quetzalcoatl With The Spear Up" featured Reverend Jim Jones forcing his congregation to drink cyanide-laced Kool Aid. Venus was in Scorpio at this time. Now let's go on to the Waco Massacre.

When conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was asked what "woke him up," he said one word: Waco. Alex Jones was there as an aspiring reporter, and he watched the congregation of David Koresh get burned alive (and it was claimed by survivors that armed members of a Delta force assassin team surrounded the burning complex and would not let congregation members leave the burning building alive). Venus was retrograde and in the sign of Aries (which rules fire), and rising ahead of the Sun. Also note that the very unfortunate star of Algol is in conjunction with and rising above the Ascendant at 27 degrees Taurus 58 minutes. Now lets look at an event in Jerusalem where a retrograde Venus went stationary in the sign of Scorpio as a massacre took place.

This terrorist event (above) took place via suicide bombers on an Israeli bus filled with children. Hamas claimed responsibility for this event. Below is another suicide bomber event, this time in Baghdad. Retrograde Venus was in Scorpio as well, but this event took place during sunset right smack on the Descendant (or the western horizon point, known as "the area of open enemies").

Finally, below is the recent Syria Chemical Massacre. Retrograde Venus left the sign of Aries and entered Pisces (which rules chemicals). But also note that Venus is in conjunction with the very unfortunate star of Scheat (and this star was also in conjunction with Uranus during the Fukushima nuclear reactor disaster). Also note that Chiron is near Venus, and Chiron is strong in charts of espionage and intelligence employees (and many claimed that this massacre was a planned event by enemies of Syria's President Assad since United Nations representatives arrived on the day this massacre took place).

Summary

The prospect for some sort of massacre or political/social turmoil is probable in the U.S. as the Nov. 6 election gets near. Interestingly, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is claiming that a false-flag murder(s) will probably take place before the elections to be used for blaming  supporters of President Trump. I hope that he is wrong, and that I am wrong.
