#5 The Bernie Madoff Ponzi Scandal (also called "Bernie Made-Off With The Loot")
The Madoff investment scandal was a major case of stock and securities fraud discovered in late 2008. In December of that year, Bernard Madoff, the former NASDAQ Chairman and founder of the Wall Street firm Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, admitted that the wealth management arm of his business was an elaborate Ponzi scheme.
Madoff founded the Wall Street firm Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC in 1960, and was its Chairman until his arrest. The firm employed Madoff's brother Peter as Senior Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer, Peter's daughter Shana Madoff as rules and compliance officer and attorney, and Madoff's sons Andrew and Mark. Peter has since been sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Mark committed suicide by hanging exactly two years after his father's arrest.
Alerted by his sons, federal authorities arrested Madoff on December 11, 2008. On March 12, 2009, Madoff pled guilty to 11 federal crimes and admitted to operating the largest private Ponzi scheme in history. On June 29, 2009, he was sentenced to 150 years in prison with restitution of $170 billion. According to the original federal charges, Madoff said that his firm had "liabilities of approximately $50 billion".Prosecutors estimated the size of the fraud to be $64.8 billion, based on the amounts in the accounts of Madoff's 4,800 clients as of November 30, 2008. Ignoring opportunity costs and taxes paid on fictitious profits, half of Madoff's direct investors lost no money.
Bernie Madoff's chart is below. Similar to Donald Trump, he has the star of Regulus in conjunction with the Ascendant. But this combination also forms a hard square with the North and South Node, offering a strong connection with wealth associated with Regulus. But square aspects represent conflicts, and thus conflicts regarding wealth are also possible. This would prove to be inevitable in the case of Bernie Madoff via a Ponzi scheme he would develop, and get arrested for.

As far as transits go, Neptune Square Midheaven (circled in black below) is very prominent since Neptune rules "disappointments" and the Midheaven can represent "the reputation of the entity." This thus defines "a major disappointment that concerns one's reputation." Circled in red below, the transit position of Sun Conjunction Mars (which may represent "police officer(s)") is forming a square to Madoff's natal Neptune in the 1st House. This defines "a conflict (square) involving police officers (Sun Conjunction Mars) resulting in "a disappointment of how one is seen by others" (natal Neptune in the 1st House). Madoff would be sentenced for 150 years for this financial fraud.
#4 "Lewinsky-Gate" (also called "Monica-Gate," "The Blue Dress," "Zipper Gate,"and "The Big Gulp")
The Clinton–Lewinsky scandal was an American political sex scandal that involved 49-year-old President Bill Clinton and 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The sexual relationship took place between 1995 and 1997 and came to light in 1998. Clinton ended a televised speech with the statement that he "did not have sexual relations" with Lewinsky. Further investigation led to charges of perjury and to the impeachment of President Clinton in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives. He was subsequently acquitted on all impeachment charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in a 21-day Senate trial. Clinton was held in civil contempt of court by Judge Susan Webber Wright for giving misleading testimony in the Paula Jones case regarding Lewinsky and was also fined $90,000 by Wright. His license to practice law was suspended in Arkansas for five years; shortly thereafter, he was disbarred from presenting cases in front of the United States Supreme Court.

Below is the horoscope of Bill Clinton. The square between the Sun ("the health of the individual; the entity itself") and the Moon ("women") offers strong potential for "conflicts (square) when involved with "sexual activity with women (Moon in the 8th House)." The conjunction of Mars and Neptune near the Ascendant is also a caveat since it can represent "deceptive actions in the environment."
Bill Clinton reportedly worked for the CIA (which is where he met Hillary Clinton), and while this natal placement may be helpful for espionage work, it can turn around and "bite you in the butt" if one maintains involvement in such deceptive activities in normal areas of life that does not involve espionage activities.
Below is the chart of when he made the famous statement on television regarding his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. He stated "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." I was one of the many millions who watched this press coverage of this statement, to which the comment was made "so does this mean eating isn't cheating?"
The 7th House rules legal encounters and involvement with courts, and Clinton has the Vertex there. The Vertex can usually define "a significant or an important encountering," and with Saturn Conjunction Vertex as a transit (circled in black below) this may define "a major restriction regarding an encountering of the event that concerns the courts." Bill Clinton would lose his license to practice law due to this encounter with Lewinsky.
Transiting Sun Conjunction Uranus is in opposition with Clinton's natal Mercury below (and this is drawn in blue). This appears to define "a hard choice" (opposition) that concerns "major television coverage" (transiting Sun Conjunction Uranus) regarding "communications concerning one's occupation" (natal Mercury in the 19th House).
#3 "Iran Contra Gate" (also called "Iran Gate" and "I-ran-A-Scam")
The Iran–Contra affair, also referred to as Irangate, Contragate or the Iran–Contra scandal, was a political scandal in the United States that occurred during the second term of the Reagan Administration. Senior administration officials secretly facilitated the sale of arms to Iran, which was the subject of an arms embargo. They hoped, thereby, to fund the Contras in Nicaragua while at the same time negotiating the release of several U.S. hostages. Under the Boland Amendment, further funding of the Contras by the government had been prohibited by Congress.
The scandal began as an operation to free seven American hostages being held in Lebanon by Hezbollah, a paramilitary group with Iranian ties connected to the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. It was planned that Israel would ship weapons to Iran, and then the United States would resupply Israel and receive the Israeli payment. The Iranian recipients promised to do everything in their power to achieve the release of the hostages.
Large modifications to the plan were devised by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North of the National Security Council in late 1985, in which a portion of the proceeds from the weapon sales was diverted to fund anti-Sandinista fighters, known as Contras, against the socialist government of Nicaragua.
While President Ronald Reagan was a supporter of the Contra cause, the evidence is disputed as to whether he authorized the diversion of the money to the Contras, raised by the arms sales. Handwritten notes taken by Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger on December 7, 1985, indicate that Reagan was aware of potential hostage transfers with Iran, as well as the sale of Hawk and TOW missiles to "moderate elements" within that country. Weinberger wrote that Reagan said "he could answer to charges of illegality but couldn't answer to the charge that 'big strong President Reagan passed up a chance to free the hostages'". After the weapon sales were revealed in November 1986, Reagan appeared on national television and stated that the weapons transfers had indeed occurred, but that the United States did not trade arms for hostages. The investigation was impeded when large volumes of documents relating to the scandal were destroyed or withheld from investigators by Reagan administration officials. On March 4, 1987, Reagan returned to the airwaves in a nationally televised address, taking full responsibility, and saying that "what began as a strategic opening to Iran deteriorated, in its implementation, into trading arms for hostages".
Several investigations ensued, including by the U.S. Congress and the three-person, Reagan-appointed Tower Commission. Neither found any evidence that President Reagan himself knew of the extent of the multiple programs.
Ultimately the sale of weapons to Iran was not deemed a criminal offense but charges were brought against five individuals for their support of the Contras. Those charges, however, were later dropped because the administration refused to declassify certain documents. The indicted conspirators faced various lesser charges instead. In the end, fourteen administration officials were indicted, including then-Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger. Eleven convictions resulted, some of which were vacated on appeal. The rest of those indicted or convicted were all pardoned in the final days of the presidency of George H. W. Bush, who had been Vice President at the time of the affair. The Iran–Contra affair and the ensuing deception to protect senior administration officials including President Reagan has been cast as an example of post-truth politics.
Yes, this Marine Corps Lt. Colonel who resembled Andy Griffith with fangs was indeed authorized to do what he did. This "authorization" was to illegally finance a group of murderers without U.S. government oversight or approval. And he never went to jail.
Ronald Reagan's horoscope is below. The Part of Fortune (in the 9th House) equals the world points at zero degrees Libra, and this indicates "a profession having a major impact on the world." The T-square of Jupiter-Sun-Moon offers a lot of luck regarding professions that involve the public (due to the Jupiter Opposition Moon placement with Jupiter in the 10th House of career and job occupation). But the Pluto Opposition Ascendant (and with Pluto near the Descendant, or "area of open enemies"), this may define conflict with powerful hidden enemies. And Reagan did support a return to the gold standard until he was shot, after which he changed his mind.
Below is the transit date with Reagan's horoscope with the date of when CIA operative Eugene Hasnfus was captured by the Nicaraguan government. He would confess of providing arms to the enemies of the Nicaraguan government (known as "the Contras"), and this would open up the Iran Contra scandal.
Transiting Neptune Conjunction Mars in Reagan's natal1st House (below in black) would certainly dominate the chart. This transit defines "disappointing actions" (Neptune Conjunction Mars) that involves "one's image or impression on others" (the 1st House). Also note the transits involving the transiting Black Moon applying to natal Pluto and transiting Saturn applying to the natal Black Moon (and both of these are drawn in light green below). The Black Moon has a lot to do with "illicit or illegal temptations," and both of these events involve dangerous areas of Reagan's chart (which are the 12th House ("secret enemies") and the Descendant ("open enemies").
#2 9/11 (also called "9/11 Was An Inside Job," "The Dancing Israelis of New Jersey," and "Jet Fuel Can Melt Building Steel Supports")
Below are 11 key reasons why 9/11 is worthy to be #2 for my list of scandals. This is despite the efforts of mainstream media and mainstream internet search engines to downplay this obvious event as an act of terrorism in which jet fuel could melt the steel of building supports.
1. Insider Traders Knew About Attacks Before They Happened
Right before the September 11th attacks, some fishy business happened within the stock market and insurance firms. An “extraordinary” amount of put options were placed on United Airlines and American Airlines stocks, the same airlines that were hijacked during the attacks. Many speculate that traders were tipped off about the attacks and profited from the tragedy. The Securities and Exchange Commission launched an insider trading investigation in which Osama bin Laden was a suspect, after receiving information from at least one Wall Street firm.
2. Air Defense Was Told To ‘Stand Down’
In the event that an airplane is hijacked, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is prepared to send out fighter jets, which can debilitate or shoot down the aircraft. On 9/11/01, NORAD generals said they learned of the hijackings in time to scramble fighter jets. Some skeptics believe NORAD commanded defense systems to “stand down,” because of their lack of presence during the attacks.
3. Planes Didn’t Make Twin Towers Collapse, Bombs Did
The World Trade Center collapse appeared similar to a controlled demolition. Many speculate that the towers were in fact blown down with explosives placed in selected locations. Some witnesses recounted hearing explosions inside the building as they attempted to escape. Many architects and scientists even maintain that a plane’s fuel cannot produce enough heat to melt the steel frames of the two buildings that collapsed.
4. The Pentagon Attack Scientifically Doesn’t Hold Up
The Pentagon crash may be the most puzzling event of the day. Theorists maintain that the impact holes in the Pentagon were much smaller than a commercial American Airlines plane. They also question why the plane was not shot down prior to impact, as well as why the plane impacted a section of the Pentagon that was vacant due to renovations.
5. Flight 93 Was Completely Staged
The fourth hijacked plane, Flight 93, crashed in Shanksville, Penn. It is believed that the passengers fought back and crashed the plane into a field. Skeptics believe that Flight 93 landed safely, while a substitute plane was shot out of the sky. Other theorists believe that the passengers were murdered, or relocated and will never be found.
6. Hijackers Are Alive. How Did Their Passports Survive Explosion?
After the September 11th attacks, the “Loose Change” documentary stated that all of the hijackers were actually alive in other countries – rather presumptuous since it is possible for two different people to have identical names. But they did raise a good point; how did the passports of the terrorists survive the explosion? In the aftermath of the attacks, passports and identification were found as evidence. Many skeptics question how identification made out of paper survived the same explosion that destroyed buildings.
7. Cell Phone Calls Made From Plane Were Faked
In-flight calls were made from cell phones in both hijacked airplanes. Scientists and skeptics maintain that cell phones could not receive reception from the altitude at which planes typically fly. Others questioned a phone call from a son to his mother, in which he referred to himself by his own first and last name.
8. Jewish People Knew Attack Was Going To Happen, Took Off Work On September 11th
Theorists noticed that 4,000 Jewish employees took off from work on September 11, 2001. Some of the first people to record the attacks on camera were also Jewish. Many became suspicious and put the religious group on the radar as suspects in the wake of the attack.
9. Black Boxes Found By Search Crew Kept Secret
During the weeks following the attack, the planes’ black boxes were one of the most important items under investigation. They were the only evidence into what happened inside the cockpits of the plane. Three of four black boxes were found and only one was in good enough condition to hear. The tape was not initially released, but was shared with families of the victims in 2002. Skeptics believe the tapes were not disclosed in order to support a secret scheme.
10. The Bin Laden Tapes Are Fake
Initially, Osama bin Laden denied any involvement with the attacks. Soon afterward, numerous tapes came out claiming he changed his mind and took full responsibility. Many skeptics believe that Bin Laden was targeted because of his stake in the stock market, as well as because of former President George W. Bush’s personal business ventures in the Middle East.
11. Aluminum Planes Can’t Penetrate Steel Structure Of World Trade Center
Commercial airplanes’ frames are constructed with a very light aluminum material in order to make it easier to fly. Theorists maintain there is no possible way an airplane can do as much damage to the Twin Towers as it did. They believe that missiles or explosives were used to ensure the buildings collapsed.
Fourteen years after the attack, we may never know the entire story – but we will always remember the people we lost on that tragic day.
Other key points to warrant this as a major scandal include President George W. Bush being told of the jets hitting the World Trade Centers while reading "The Pet Goat" to a group of school children in Florida. He showed no emotion or alarm whatsoever and continued to read the story to the children after being told of the jet crashes.
Particularly alarming was the BBC reporting of the collapse of World Trade Center Building #7 (also called the Salomon Brothers Building) which did indeed happen. The problem with this BBC report was that this building was still standing at the time of BBC reporting that WTC7 had collapsed, and the building was standing in the background of the reporter who was reporting that the building had collapsed.
Also alarming was the $2.3 trillion dollars reported to be missing from the pentagon on September 10, 2001. This was somehow completely forgotten due the event that took place the following day.
Below is the horoscope of George W. Bush. The 11th House Uranus is well placed in Gemini and involved in a strong trine with Jupiter in the 3rd House of communications. Combined with natal Mercury Conjunction Ascendant, Bush did have a talent for communicating with others, and this was regardless of social standing or education background.
The area of concern with Bush is the 12th House placements of Saturn and the Sun, as this pair in the 12th may demand that one stay in the background and deal with secretive areas that concern unique hardships or special demands. And while it was reported that George W. Bush was involved in serious partying at Yale, it was also rumored that while in high school he was in Dallas on November 22, 1963 (along with his father, who worked for the CIA at that time). And yes, Yale is noted for the Skull and Bones Fraternity, a reported source for recruitment into the CIA during the 20th Century.

Circled in black, Neptune Opposition Ascendant (and near the Descendant, or "the area of open enemies") is the main and the most significant transit for consideration. This transit defines "deception is a potential open enemy or an aspect of significant conflict in the immediate environment."
9/11 was a great act of deception and a great insult to the intelligence of many scientists. It also revealed the lack of scientific intelligence among many U.S. citizens in lieu of the much publicized temperature requirements for building construction steel to melt versus the temperature of burning jet fuel. 9/11 did make the U.S. population the laughing stock of the world due to this lack of interest in scientific inquiry.
#1 Watergate (also called "Jail To The Chief" and "Tricky D|ck Meets Deep Throat")
The Watergate scandal was a major political scandal that occurred in the United States during the early 1970s, following a break-in by five men at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C. on June 17, 1972, and President Richard Nixon's administration's subsequent attempt to cover up its involvement. After the five burglars were caught and the conspiracy was discovered, Watergate was investigated by the United States Congress. Meanwhile, Nixon's administration resisted its probes, which led to a constitutional crisis.
The term Watergate, by metonymy, has come to encompass an array of clandestine and often illegal activities undertaken by members of the Nixon administration. Those activities included such "dirty tricks" as bugging the offices of political opponents and people of whom Nixon or his officials were suspicious. Nixon and his close aides also ordered investigations of activist groups and political figures, using the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The scandal led to the discovery of multiple abuses of power by members of the Nixon administration, an impeachment process against the president that led to articles of impeachment, and the resignation of Nixon. The scandal also resulted in the indictment of 69 people, with trials or pleas resulting in 48 being found guilty, many of whom were top Nixon officials.
The affair began with the arrest of five men for breaking into the DNC headquarters at the Watergate complex on Saturday, June 17, 1972. The FBI investigated and discovered a connection between cash found on the burglars and a slush fund used by the Committee for the Re-Election of the President (CRP), the official organization of Nixon's campaign. In July 1973, evidence mounted against the president's staff, including testimony provided by former staff members in an investigation conducted by the Senate Watergate Committee. The investigation revealed that Nixon had a tape-recording system in his offices and that he had recorded many conversations.
After a series of court battles, the Supreme Court of the United States unanimously ruled that the president was obliged to release the tapes to government investigators (United States v. Nixon). The tapes revealed that Nixon had attempted to cover up activities that took place after the break-in, and to use federal officials to deflect the investigation. Facing virtually certain impeachment in the House of Representatives and equally certain conviction by the Senate, Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974, preventing the House from impeaching him. On September 8, 1974, his successor, Gerald Ford, pardoned him.

In the end, it was obvious who Nixon's worst enemy was.

The 10th House Pluto is the obvious indicator for the need for power, but it also represented a strong possibility for abuse of power and conflict due to abuse of power since there is a strong Opposition of Pluto with a Mercury Conjunction Mars placement. Also note that the Uranus Sesquiquadrate Midheaven placement can define great tension that may lead to great shocks or surprises that may affect his reputation in a big way. And yes, Uranus rules technology, such as advanced tape recorders.
Below is the time of the police call-in that would lead to the arrest of five burglars at the Democrat Party Headquarters at the Watergate. Pluto Square Pluto (circled in black below) is the most significant transit defining a crisis for Richard Nixon with this bungled burglary. The next most significant transit is Saturn Conjunction Midheaven (circled in red), as this would follow the Watergate break-in and lead to Nixon's fall from power. Also noteworthy is Mars Conjunction Pluto (circled in green). Natal Neptune in the 11th House usually indicates that one's associates and friends will betray you (and note that Hillary Clinton has this placement as well). Because Mars can represent police officers, this transit may also represent "police meeting up with friends or associates involved in deception."
Moral of the story: Tricky Dick should have followed the advice of his astrologer, or should have at least hired one if didn't have one. The Rockefeller family used astrologers, and Nixon was reportedly good friends with the Rockefeller family and may have known this during his many social get-togethers with them.
