Shabda meditation?

This is probably a silly question but would shabda meditation arousa the kundalini? I find myself in a rut, i'm very tired in the mornings... Apparently if thine eye be single he individual is enlighteneed so im hopin i can just listen to naam...? Please and many thanks.
