You already are a beacon of light! A lightworker!!
I know very well in what situation you are. It is hard to work in a clinic or something like that where you are not allowed to speak out loud in what you really believe. Also not to treat clients with spiritual healing. But theres another way: please keep on sending love and light to your clients as you already do. And if it responds to your spiritual belief: ask the ascended master beings for their help and support. Ask St. Germain to help you with the violet flame and allthe other the archangels for their support. To help connect your clients to the source of light, to their higher selves and to realize their real purpose and task here in this earth-life. and ask for transformation if it is in the good purpose for all beings and that all change corresponds with the individuals spiritual -how to say- blue-print?
I also do this everyday during my drive to the clinic. Well and all of a sudden...the clinic starts transforming....the concept becomes more spiritual and it is easier to wokt in that way.
To you question:
A lightworker is a beacon of light in the stormy sea. A lightworker lets his/her own light shine around the places and so becomes an Idol (how to express...properly?). A person who shows others the energies of light by shining out of onesself. People get afected by that energy and start to transform as well or start to ask questions, because deep inside theiy want to shine also. You are the wayshower! You are working in a difficult field of work, where at this time transformation is darely needed!!!
Pray for being allowed to use also spiritual concepts in therapy. Now it is the time for manifestations!! We all can manifest things that bring more light in dark corners!!
Psychology as it is in the moment needs transformation! And things have begun! Look at the Transpersonal Psychology....and so on.
But you as a lightworker are being sent to places which need more enlightment. As Kryon always says: be a beacon that shines and shows, emitts the light.

Did you know that there's a book out called "The lightworkers way" by Doreen Virtue? This book would probably answer all your questions. I've read it before myself and LOVED it, also Doreen deals with angels, and I can give her a lot of credit for coming out with books that really train you well on how to work with these loving beings.
