As we all know, there is a lot of talk about changing the world for the better. Some think the Ascension will help usher in needed changes so that this can happen, others think Indigos, aliens or some other group/person will do it. But one thing these ideas all have in common is the ongoing wait that is required. Well I'm of the opinion that we need to stop waiting for someone or something to change the world and do it ourselves. Like the saying goes, the one we like to use to make ourselves feel all warm and squishy inside, as well as powerful, we are the ones we've been waiting for.
There are so many organizations that are doing the work, as in, physical work, not just sitting around and meditating, hoping that the happy thoughts will be enough. Often in the New Age community, we tell ourselves we're gods/goddesses and super powerful, etc., yet we're waiting for someone else to save us. WTF? I get that there are situations where a person needs help, but instead on waiting on the aliens or whoever, why not lend a hand?
Btw, did it ever occur to anyone that the the possible reason why aliens haven't come to the rescue is because they're waiting on us to rescue ourselves? Why? Probably because they know we can do it. How many times have you read a channeling where they are calling us powerful creators and such? Those aren't just feel good sentiments. It is a truth we must embrace.
I also see those reminders of our strength as a call to step up, get involved and heal the problems of the world. Indigos aren't here to save us from some awful big bad, we're here to remind you that you're just as powerful as we are, and to help you heal the world. This means you're not off the hook, so don't think you can just sit around and wait for us or someone else to wipe your nose and your ass. Not only that, the New Age movement is a movement of power.
You can't say you're a co-creator and then sit back and bitch about some god awful conspiracy or something and just do nothing. No, if you believe and know that you are a co-creator, a god/goddess, then you have no other options but to step up. Running away from the problems goes against these ideas, and if you do it, you're saying that you're weak, helpless and powerless. You can't have it both ways.
So I'm thinking that we start working together. Work with those in your community, state and country as well as online. Let's take Monsanto as an example. We all know that GMOs are a bad idea so let's stop eating the foods that most likely have them. Those foods are mainly processed, and if you just gotta have the junk food, try making them yourself. Start a garden, create community supported gardens to not only get real food but to also help feed the starving.
Join organizations that are working to drive down the cost of organics so that they can be more accessible to everyone. Join organizations that are working to label genetically modified foods. Use the Law of Attraction to find solutions to problems, after all, do you really think it's a coincidence that movies like The Secret and What the Bleep Do We Know? came out when they did? The Law is just one of many tools we can use to change the world.
Are you tired of the power of the big banks? Join a community bank or credit union. The more people join, the more branches that can pop up and the stronger the community becomes. Spread the word about why people should join and how it helps them and their community. The point is that there are tons of ways we can get involved and make a difference. No longer can we say we can't find organizations to join because we have Google at our fingertips. And I'm sure many of us know someone who knows someone who can get us the right info, so networking is important.
The point is that we can no longer afford to sit back and do nothing. Take the recent debt ceiling incident, not only would the U.S. would've been negatively affected if they didn't get their act together, it could've affect the entire planet. Let that sink in for a moment. A few hundred people holding the fate of the world in their hands. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of seeing the fate of the world being threatened by a bunch of greedy, power hungry jackasses. So I say it's time to take our power back!

Hi geonic, from my perspective and experience and knowledge of how things operate in this world as far as human systems, I think it has been all along the opening of the eyes.
Just as a thought precedes an action, if things are to change for the highest good of one and all, the eyes and the heart need to be as wide open as they can be.
I think i understand your perspective and agree to one degree or another. Though I'm just adding some more details to yours.
I'll use another example, the chinese finger torture novelty. If one has no knowledge or wisdom passed down from parents or others about the results of such a trap, then this example highlights how knowledge based in wisdom and truth would have prevented much imbalance.You may call it meditation or whatever you like.
Though again, the control systems worked there way into peoples lives and schools replaced the wisdom needed to prevent such.
If we all want this change for the good of one and all, people should know what results the choices they make have and should be willing to always seek the real truth of any situation, otherwise ways of living fall back into the same imbalance.
It certainly is not a black or white issue in most cases, as the minds that have created these human systems of living over time knew full well the difficulties we would have restructuring them into ones that serve the good of one and all.
Since they knew and know full well how to use the fear type energy as their main weapon and people under that spell have had a difficult time seeing the trees through the forest. We all have our roles to play.

yea, I think your actually spot on with what you mentioned earlier that I replied to, and I kind of gave a balancing act, though I may have rolled it into a more direct energy than I should have, really I think my meandering message was, just the "bit of both" method, but that is not a clear approach to explain, yes.
so yea, its kinda like the bases is broken and so we can not do much "new" until we establish a new and prevalent bases to ourselfs as people once again
otherwise the structures just keep crumbling, though I personally know that I myself must learn some better patience, and yes, after all this time, and all these years, its hard to do so, of course, in the midst of doing the transformation myself over these times now, which obviously too, makes it easier and easier ongoingly, to notice this method of change we are speaking about here now
though I feel their are certain crux moments, where certain things have to be placed into the lay of the land that are temporary, yet serve an undeniably important purpose, and this will be done on many levels and situations
and yes, these moments now have been spoken of for some time, by the channellers, also I should mention that I especially notice you write with exceptional clarity VioletRay, and this helps me alot right now with this current argumentative situation
Hi folks, I have to agree with james again.
Once one is aware of the control systems and how all the interrelated institutions that foster the oppressive control systems function, it is a good idea to step away to the greatest degree possible so as to gain that peace and inner balance needed to stay out of fear and similar thoughts and energies that rob us of our power.
This is all going to change by people literally doing things almost the opposite as to what they have been programmed from birth to do on a daily basis. Understand I'm not belittling anyone, just pointing out what ultimately needs to occur.
So by this train of thought, trying to go out and fix, that which by design cannot be fixed, it can only be replaced with proper systems of thought that serve the highest good of all and in this sense i mean, all basic needs of all will be met without need to enslave or control anyone.
For example, in case my thoughts become misunderstood.
Can an electric chair be fixed to do anything but kill people, no, it needs to be thrown out the window and replaced with nothing or since we do need some infrastructure in societies until such time where all are relatively self sufficient, the electric chair would be replaced with a healing chair, lol.

anyways, are these kinds of changes only developed by transformation through meditation and standing back to "see" and heal?
is it about "taking action", or is the meaning of it about opening the eyes more, as part of this transformational process, perhaps the "taking action" is a part to play in this meditation activity as well? and not just for those who it is for their "soul learning experience"
also the new changes are coming soon, from people/humans, not just our new visitors, as I was mentioning and things are gonna speed up big time, so I hope people are "on" and ready to go by that time, otherwise the world will probably get alot more ugly real real fast
also one of the main facets of getting involved is that its about people, knowing we are all in this together, and that constant reminder to everyone and yourself, the more people active the more people will be ready to go, ready to get involved in whatever comes next, people have to be kinda movin, and soon, hehehe, its like a spiritual engine
helping those in need in direct ways is raising the vibration of the planet, it is not just an action of physical forms of safety and refuge being given but also at the same time for the soul this is happening, in other-words part of the transformation, which is, um, obvious
though I'd assume most here on this site do more than just meditate, but I do not know this site well enough to know all these things I guess, but I thought most here are helping in some real way beyond meditation, as meditation is apart of all our works
the other thing is I'd say mid august will be when the big big players will begin to come back out onto the chess board again, I mean the "good guys". if your gonna save the "world", raise the vibration or however you want to put it in words than you need some mighty work to be done before hand, to then have something of a new form of solution to offer the human race, (some of these coming changes about to be offered to humanity have been in development for a long long time, and lots of blood, sweat and tears involved too)
this whole world change process can be as hard as we want it to be or we can make it easier for eachother and in so doing for ourselfs, at the same moment of doing so, etc
this whole change coming about in these times is not just connected to humanitys past, it is also connected to us now, or rather. . . . especially so now
I think their are those who when they first come here to this site, it is largely for rest and a kind of re-calibration, re-orientation, and this process in of itself does not happen over night, I can raise my hand and say I am getting out of the ass end of this process now and it has perhaps happened slowly yet most would say it happens in your kind of own process of speed, but this kind of activity itself never ends ether
but having the self more straitened out and informed/aware, healed and able to then know how to heal the self, goes along way in then being able to get more back into heavy gear, with what your up too in this world

Having read through other people's comments, I think I find myself somewhere in the middle. I fully agree that community is a great place to start (which is why I joined this site). Sadly, however, I have found that the majority of people I have tried to talk to about subjects such as government corruption, corporative power, the Elite, extra terrestrials etc. just don't want to hear. They acknowledge that the world is in a mess, but they dismiss belief in these things as pure conspiracy theorizing / plain craziness. They just aren't ready to have their view of the world radically altered.
Having said that, humanity in general is waking up, and I do believe that a new age is coming in ways that we aren't in control of. In that respect, at least, it doesn't matter what we do; we're sliding inexorably towards something enormous, something unaffected by our actions. But this doesn't mean that we should just sit back and wait, so I'm totally with you in that regard. People's lives in the here and now are suffering, and regardless as to whether it makes any difference to the future, we have a duty to try and put things right.
It's just difficult to know where to start when no-one wants to listen!

Hi folks, Hi adalis, While I also understand your perspective, I have to agree with james on this, what will be will be and every embodied individual will make their own choices.
I can tell you from direct experience, that some people just don't want change, even though it's ultimately for their own good and that of all.
A change in an individual or group or the world comes from within, the part of us that is not of this world , though at the same time is within it.
From my perspective, forming groups, gangs, governments, etc. will be a thing of the past.
True self empowerment will come from individual human beings and that is where the power will come to rest.
As I have said before, there is nothing to do, in fact just the opposite, most things people are doing still are maintaining the old ways either out of fear or ignorance.
If one comes to the conclusion, one is trying to ice skate uphill, it would be wise to stop and look for a different path.
No disrespect of course, I fully respect all views, I am just offering my own.

I dont think we knowingly gave away our power - the dark systematically has tried to keep us in the dark for many 1000's of years.
Controlling us through religion, making us believe that the only true way to God was through your priest or pastor or minister or rabi or who ever but never have we been told that we have a direct link ourselves. By taking our lands and cutting down our forests and polluting our water forcing us into cities. Killing off our wise ones, our healers. Taking away the power of women by creating feminism and blurring the lines of relationships and family life.
I could go on and on but I am sure you get the picture.
