E. tolle even said that the old egoic structure of civilization will become more entrenched and dig in its heels in the days before it crumbles. Moral: "it's going to get worse before it gets better"-it HAS too!
And yes, it is practically impossible to discern truth from deception nowadays. The dark side is always "one step ahead" in its thinking/planning to outsmart and control the population. "You are living in a NIGHTMARE"-like Alaje(777alaje) says in one of his videos.
I feel all we can do is strenghten ourselves and purify ourselves. Strenghten our hearts, spirituality, knowledge and consciousness. Purify ourselves by relinquishing all blockages through forgivenss, balancing karma, health etc.
