Integration.jpg?width=300Humans have this uncanny ability to recognize Truth, and I'm not talking about the small temporary truths like "I ate a sandwich for lunch yesterday", but the big Universal Truths. Subconsciously, part of them knows it's true, it sounds good, even if they don't consciously understand why. It's no mystery to us here as to why that is, we're not kidding when we say every Human Being IS GOD, though very few are aware of what this really means. Even to the skeptic and the atheist, something like Love or the profound wonder of the Universe is still very appealing, humans are drawn to those things like moths to a flame.

Now there's a seeming contradiction here, because if people can naturally recognize truth, then why is there still so much ignorance on the planet? Well it's one thing to recognize truth, it's another thing to believe it, and it's something else entirely to actually live that truth. For that, you have to embrace it, truly understand it, and also integrate it into your life.

Let's take an practical example from something I mentioned earlier, that Everyone Is God. There's plenty of people who believe this, especially because it's a fairly popular thing to say in many spiritual groups. Quite frankly though, believing it isn't nearly enough. All that does is toss it on the pile o' beliefs that you call a mind and hope it plays well with the other beliefs, many of which actually deny the idea that You Are God. These conflicting beliefs feed into cognitive dissonance and confusion far more than they create clarity.

Real integration of truth into your life doesn't come through believing some spiritual message you read, though sometimes that is the very first step. True integration takes some actual effort on your part, it's not just passively believing something. Real understanding that You Are God should make you question just about everything you believe, question everything about your life, and question your whole worldview. You'll likely release tons of beliefs, not build more up. It's an intense experience of growth and evolution, and something you create for yourself, not something you read in a book.

This is what I see as the "next step" for humanity. Many of the egoists who don spiritual trappings are trying to tell people they've already done enough, that people have done such a great job and they just have to wait for the rewards to come in. I have some very strong words for these sort of beliefs, one of the nicer terms being "ignorant bullshit". I do understand why these beliefs are so popular though, you don't have to put out any effort, you don't have to question your beliefs, you don't have to face your own pain, you just believe something and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait...

  • I totally agree...Time to walk the walk instead of sitting on the laurels waiting for rewards and patting oneself on the back and thinking that believing is enough...Intellectual believing and really living the belief is two separate things completely...A lot of "new agers" talk the talk of loving their fellow humanity but fall far far short when it comes to living by those beliefs and doing things to make them a truth and reality.  Great message and thank you.
