The Fear Of God

One day, I took a pastor by the shirt and pressed him against the wall.ROARS: You are surely going to explain it to me today. Why do you always advice people to fear God. Is God a mounster?PASTOR: No no no you got it all wrong! The fear of God mean something else entirely. Perharps the spirit will reveal it to you.But of course still when I secretly hear them talking through the wall, I hear them talking of a three headed mounster (father, son and holy spirit) who will hurl all those who mess with his rules to a very hot place. So let us zoom in to see who might realy be the one getting it all wrong."Serve the lord in fear and rejoice with trembling" Psalms 2:11"This is the one I esteem:he who is humble and contrite in spirit,and trembles at my word." Isaiah 66:2"Work out your salvation with fear and trembling" Philipians 2:12So you can see that I got it right! This fear is litteral. It includes even trembling! One cannot read the bible without concluding that in the bible fear of God is a virtue! It can talk of love and fear of God or fear and rejoice. This is funny given that 'Fearfull love' seems to be an oxymoron in new age. This is also eroneous. Fear is not antagonistic to love. Hatred is. But the fact that I may fear you does not immediately mean I hate you.But there is the recillient, so called 'apostle of love' who did not beat about the bush but insinuated that he did not buy into this 'fear' thing."But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fear is not yet made perfect in love" 1John 4:18So? Should we fear or should we not?As a punchline, the reason I may love, yet fear Yahweh is this one:"The lord roars from Zionand thunders from Jerusalem;the pastures of shepherds dry upand the top Carmel withers" Amos 1:2Yahweh sounds like a Roaring Lovely.Who will not fear such guy?Who will not love such guy?
