  It's not the same thing. But my answerphone recorded a call a week or two ago and there was a distinctly 'alien' (not of this world) voice babbling away in a language I didn't understand. (not like any human language I ever heard). the voice was all metallic sounding and spoke VERY quickly with a scritchyscratchy sound happening at the same time. I wouldn't have paid as much attention as I did if the time it happened wasn't 8:03 pm. (8+3=11) I see 11's OFTEN)). I feel that telephones may be a way for those 'upstairs' (spirit OR ET) to get our attention. In your case, they may have used a voice that would make you sit up and take notice for whatever reason. Of course, this is all just guesswork on my part, but keep alert where your friend is concerned OK....

    you made me think of the timing and I checked the time of the call on my cell phone: 12:12
    I was reading this website when the call arrived.
