The island is said to be located to the west of Ireland and is known as Hy-Brasil in Irish mythology. Hy-Brasil (also spelled Hy-Breasal, Hy-Brazil, Hy-Breasil, Brazir) may also be responsible for the naming of the country we know today as Brazil.
According to legends of long ago, Hy-Brasil was a secret land once ruled by priests. These priests held the secrets to the universe and had access to ancient, but powerful knowledge. In folklore, this island country takes its name from Breasal, the High King of the World, in Celtic history.
The island is said to be cloaked in mist, except for one day each seven years, when it became visible but could still not easily be reached. Over the centuries a number of maps have charted the position of the island. On maps, the island was shown as being circular, often with a central strait or river running east-west across its diameter.
A Catalan map from around 1480 labels two islands “Illa de brasil”, one to the south west of Ireland and the other south of “Illa verde” or what is now known as Greenland. There have been numerous expeditions in the past to search for this mythical land. One expedition in 1497 was led by John Cabot. He reported that he had found the land and it had been “discovered in the past by the men from Bristol who found Brasil”.

Some historians note that the renowned navigator Pedro Alvarez Cabral also claimed to have reached the island during his voyages in the 1500′s. The 1600′s had a wealth of reports about the island. In 1674 a Captain John Nisbet and his crew were in familiar waters off the west coast of Ireland. They were enshrouded in fog.
As the fog lifted, they saw that they were close to an island, so anchored in three fathoms of water. According to reports, four crew members took a small boat and landed on the island. They spent a day there before returning laden with gold and silver. They claimed that an old man who lived on the island had given it to them as a gift.
When they returned to Ireland, a second ship under the command of Alexander Johnson set out to find the island. According to reports of the time, they too found a hospitable island and returned to confirm the previous report.
In 1684, in a book called ‘A Chorographical Description of West or H-Iar Connaught’ mentions an encounter with the island:
The island’s last appearance took place in 1872, seven years after its removal from official nautical charts. The traveler T.J. Westropp, having already seen the island twice before, had brought a shipload of witnesses (including his mother) to verify his sighting of Hy-Brasil. But the Hy'Brasil mystery only deepens.... In a famous UFO encounter known as the "Rendleshem Forest Incident" a mysterious craft lands outside of a US military base in the UK. A man, Jim Penniston, happens to touch this craft and immediately receives 16 pages of binary code burned directly into his mind.
Jim writes down the code the next day and decades later has it translated.
The code translates into
"Exploration of Humanity 666 8100", it lists very specific coordinates of Hy'Brasil island, says
"Continuous for Planetary Advancement,"
"Fourth Coordinate Continuous".
Below that the message then lists the coordinates of several ancient sites such as the pyramids of Giza.
At the bottom it ends with says "EYES OF YOUR EYES." ORIGIN, lists the coordinates of Hy'Brasil again.
Then says the ORIGIN year is 8100.

There are some other theories, some claim even evidence that Tuatha Dé Danann were the original inhabitants of Ireland Pre (way before) 10,000 B.C. - but had to leave at that time as the world flood covered Ireland, they went to central Highlands of Europe the Danube Region--- hence the name, what’s interesting is that the ancient history of Danube, some Celtic Coins was found in the Danube Valley but also the history of ancient Balkan Peninsula … Thracians, Dacians, Scythians, Goth etc … resent: Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine – have an amazing influence of Irish civilization … also the ... in my opinion Celts somehow preserve 'knowledge' better through mythology then some others ... maybe because it's an island itself and way up north (at that time), there is continuation of events, like Tuatha De Danann, this mysterious island, Elves, Fairies, Battle and etc with a lot of legends, clearly it's difficult to deduct the 'probable possibility' ... however nevertheless all myth have 'grain of truth' ... unfortunately only those who knows the truth can manipulate it, so we have some bits and pieces of it.

It was a remnant of the greater continent of Atlantis, located once, to it's west...and continued on for centuries as a home for Atlantean survivors of the deluge...
So in essence, you could say, that Hy'Brasil was representative of Atlantis culture and also the Atlantis tragedy, which is a warning to current earth humans, also...both islands sunk and the place continues to leave it's energy signature upon the area...

i have lots of dreams and visions, some times premonitions, however it's always related to me and my life, (nothing Global) ... so i am aware of the feelings and 'process' ... ;)) but a few moth ago i had 'something' ... about the 'Island' and the 'last war?' but it wasn't mine, that's why i start 're-searching' ... and when i came across - Hy'Brasil (i felt the same energy) ... it felt more like somebody else 'projection/life fragment maybe' ... but real, not malevolent, similar to like watching the movie ;)), but it had nothing to do with me ... i know i never been there, but i always felt kindred spirit with Ireland and surrounding area land ... sound strange, but i think 'the key to something' is in that area ... anyway who knows ... ;))
