The power of now by Eckhart Tolle.

I have just started reading this book, and think I would have loved to have read it a few years back, but I'm guessing that a few years back would not have been the right time for me to discover the knowledge and wisdom contained within?!

=)

I am thoroughly enjoying it.

  • I read this book when I was having a severe health crisis and was deemed terminally ill, and was also having emotional problems up the quasuu....his book literally SAVED my life. What he said totally resonated with me and after giving the book much thought I decided that I was not going to spend the rest of my existence looking back at my past and all the woulda, shoulda, coulda's and was not going to beat myself up in the remaining time that I had left in my life, and I was not going to look forward with fear and trepidation about dieing, I was only going to live for the present moment alone, and enjoy the Now, because it was all I really had. What a difference that made in my existence.

And I decided that I was going to beat my disease because as long as I believed I was ill, then I gave it reality as Eckhard says in his works. I am pleased to say that I am now completely well and I attribute that to my deciding that I am not going to let my body mutiny on me. I am healed because I now believe I am healed and can be. So much sickness is because you believe that you are ill, and it serves a purpose to your subconscious and you believe that you are ill for whatever reason. I just CHOSE not to be dying, changed my tactics and took a holistic approach, stoppd the chemotherapy that was distroying me totally and my body healed itself, because I believed it could. I created that reality. His book made the difference between living and giving up and dying. I think he is fantastic and absolutely right about the power of NOW! He is my favorite writer and I greatly look up to him.
    • I admire your strength and determination! =)
Thank goodness for the power of now!
      =)
I will definately be on the look out for Eckharts other works!
    • I have had similar experiences, i read his book when i was 16, in rehab. Saved my life, what a wonderful start! NAMASTE
