a little creepy for meditation but it's cool!

The Earth is the densest major body in the solar system. It is the third planet from the Sun at a distance of about 93 million miles (150 million km).
The Earth's chemical composition (by mass) is: 34.6% Iron 29.5% Oxygen 15.2% Silicon 12.7% Magnesium 2.4% Nickel 1.9% Sulfur 0.05% Titanium
Earth's atmosphere is 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen and 1 percent other ingredients. It is the only planet whose English name does not derive from Greek/Roman mythology.
Equatorial Diameter: 12,756 km Polar Diameter: 12,714 km Mass: 5.97 x 10^24 kg Orbit Distance: 149,598,262 km (1 AU) Orbit Period: 365.24 days Surface Temperature: -88 to 58°C
orbit: 149,600,000 km (1.00 AU) from Sun diameter: 12,756.3 km mass: 5.972e24 kg
The Earth is divided into several layers which have distinct chemical and seismic properties (depths in km): 0- 40 KM - Crust 40- 400 KM - Upper mantle 400- 650 KM - Transition region 650-2700 KM - Lower mantle 2700-2890 KM - D'' layer 2890-5150 KM - Outer core 5150-6378 KM - Inner core
Most of the mass of the Earth is in the mantle, most of the rest in the core; the part we inhabit is a tiny fraction of the whole (values below x10^24 kilograms): atmosphere = 0.0000051 oceans = 0.0014 crust = 0.026 mantle = 4.043 outer core = 1.835 inner core = 0.09675
Each planet, moon and ring system has a distinctive "musical" pattern. Listening to this unusual recording has a mysteriously relaxing effect. After a long hard day, you can bring your brainwaves into a slower and meditative state. In 1989, Dr. Jeffrey D. Thompson, D.C., B.F.A. was approached by representatives working with NASA and JPL to explore a series of powerful recordings which the Voyager I & II Spacecraft had sent back from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These recordings seemed to be having a profound effect on the scientists and researchers who were exposed to them. Dr. Thompson was approached as an expert in the field of sound and healing, and especially in his work with "Primordial Sounds.” Primordial sounds are human body sounds and nature sounds formatted in special ways to cause a deep response in the subconscious mind. These are extremely useful in all levels of healing. Although space is a virtual vacuum, this does not mean there is no sound in space. The specially designed instruments on board the various space probes used Plasma Wave antennae to record the vibrations used here, all within the range of human hearing (20-20,000 CPS). This Space Recording Series is dedicated to the memory of Fred Scarf, PhD, who developed the acoustic recording project for Voyager and is directly responsible for the sounds you hear on these recordings from space. Interactions between the Solar Wind and the planets, moons and rings of our Solar System create "Soundscapes" of frequencies in the plasma energy "Ocean" that fills the void of space. Each planet, moon and ring system has a distinctive "musical" pattern. These space sounds of Earth were recorded by the Injun I, Hawkeye, IMP I, and ISEE I space probes. The Sounds you hear are from decoded information on interactions of the solar ionic wind, the Earth's magnetosphere, plasma wave phenomena and interactions between the Earth's ionisphere and magnetosphere. Earth has an estimated seven quintillion, five hundred quadrillion grains of sand. Still, the known universe contains 70 thousand million, million, million stars in the observable universe, which means there about 10,000 stars for every grain of sand.
