  Suposly this is organic multi vitamins made In a lab ?? 
  I got a bad vibe because this is launched In Asia first and is a networkmarketing company ?? anny info annybody ??

  Isnt this bill related to rewriting the laws that protects us from the guidelines offered in the "Codex Alimentarius?"

  In 1963 a "trade commission utilizing this codex was implemented. This would be later be regulated by the Food and Agriculture Organization, and World Heath Organization. They fund and run the codex at the request of the UN, to regulate food standards, and fair trade practices. They would then work towards global implementation of the codex by 2009, as stated in its own documentation.
  
  It has over 4000 guidelines standards and regulations for everything you can legally put in your mouth. Everything with the exception of pharmaceuticals. The codex standards have no legal weight to them, what so ever, so "who cares?" The idea is, since there are so few rules, in which internatinal courts can use to rule on cases involving food, the codex could be used as a guideline. Seems innocent enough. But With no other guidelines to follow, the codex would be enforced by the courts. It is not law, but it now hold the same weight. The codex trade commission ratified the "vitamin and mineral guideline" That we should all know about by now! Establishing rules for its trade and consumption. It is now mandatory for a member country of the world trade organization to follow these rules. But what does the world trade organization have to do with it? The WTO accepted the rules of the codex when it was founded in 1994. The codex is not a health commission, it is not a food or drug commission. It is a trade commission. And trade is about one thing.. Profit. So if two counties in the WTO get into a trade dispute over food, and one is codex compliant and the other is not, the one that is, automatically wins the case.
  
  Now in order to protect our trade, how do we become codex compliant, when we have laws that protect us and our food? We rewrite the laws!
  
  We have to remember the codex is a "trade" commission. It does not serve the consumer, or health. It serves trade. It serves Big pharma, Big Chema, BIg Bio, Big Agro, and Big Medical. So what is codex really doing? Well nutrients and herbs are considered food. As food, you can not set a upper limit. You can not limit how much carrot one can eat, just as you cant set a limit on how much vitamin D you can ingest. And access to nutrients are freely given to us, we can buy and eat as much as we want at any time. Because, under "common law" anything not forbidden is permitted. Codex on the other hand is a Napoleonic code law. Under Napoleonic code, anything not permitted is forbidden. In 1994 the Codex Alimentarius redefined, and declared nutrients to be toxins. Poisons!
  
  As poisons we have to be protected from them. We use toxicology, and the formula of "risk assessment" gos something like this. You take the substance thats poisonous. You feed it to animals and you determine the dose that kills 50% of them, the "LD 50". Then you go to the other end of the dosage range and you start feeding tiny amounts of the poison to the animal, and you come up with the largest dose possible, before the animal begins to show a discernible impact. Then you divide that by 100% "this is how they do it" And now you have a safety margin. So now you have 1/100th of the largest possible dose that can be given with no discernible impact. All nutrients under codex are limited to this rule. Under this regulatory committee it is now against the rules of trade, to trade any vitamins or minerals that are substantial enough to have any heath benefits.
  
  They would rather have us eating a gray slop because things like bananas have to much potassium is it, and such.

    Its true people have no idea whats in the foods they are eating. Any one who has renal insufficiency
    does indeed need to watch the intake of potassium. A normal kidneys can excrete it satisfactorally but
    with illness many common foods can be very dangerous.God did not make vitamin pills grow on trees.
    There is such a thing as Hypervitaminosis. Juicing gives mega doses of vitamins and for some people this is not so good.People act like more is better and its just not true. Of course some people have deficiencies and also need extra vitamins at certain times. This can only be determined by doing blood tests and checking levels.
    Most people have no knowledge and experience of this. Each person has their own requirements and it behoves a person to find out their own needs.Many foods have megadoses of potassium and if you have problems you need to be aware.

    Hi, Sim L, I wish I was able to have more confidence in our politicians, especially our elected officials in the US Congress. I was politically active for years and have gotten to the point, I can't say I'm apathetic, maybe disillusioned ? with the political process here in the U.S.
    
    I voted in all major presidential elections for the past thirty years, but now will distance myself from this. I know that I did not vote for the war in Afghanistan or Iraq, (Maybe I missed this question somewhere on an election ballot?) Maybe I'll find the box to check on the next election ballot concerning a potential upcoming war with Iran since I missed the box to vote "no" on the two other wars?
    
    I don't remember ever voting for my food to be sprayed with harmful pesticides or for that matter, to have it genetically engineered by companies like Monsanto. I must have missed that question on a ballot somewhere, too.
    
    And I don't remember voting to bail-out Wall Street in the recent past. Actually, when I think about it, there are many agendas the government has pursued without asking my or others' permission. .Anyway, I think you have the drift...
    
    What I DO know is that I cannot rely on Uncle Sam to make good decisions for me. I can only do that by myself. Ralph Waldo Emerson termed it in his well-known essay as "Self-Reliance". I'm shifting the paradigm. I am currently looking into optional ways of living my life totally off the grid. I have grown my own food for years and continue to gather my garden's seeds for another planting season. When the giant falls, I'll be damned if I'm gonna let him fall on me. I am not a doomsdayer. I'm not into heavy survivalist crap, such as building an underground bunker stalked with years of supplies (and I am by no way meaning to offend others on this site who may feel the need to do so. I look at it as some people are doing more thoughtful preparation than I'm capable of at this time) However, I am into being more self-sufficient and am seeking alternative methods of living without the good ole boys in Washington making decisions that affect the quality of my life.
    
    I DO like, Sim L., that you put this topic up on board. And I make these comments written above very respectfully. And I will respond to the link you have provided because you, me, we, all of us have to have hope. I guess it's just I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt and am now in the process of writing the book. I think this is a significant issue you bring to the fore and it should not to be ignored. We are gathering on this site as a community of awakened souls. We understand the purpose of continuing our mission as stewards of this fragile planet. I would like to see us gather and discuss alternative ways to fight this. The domino effect would be tremendous if we all just said "No" to this craziness around us. Sometimes I wish we could all band together and protest in one voice. If everyone made a unanimous decision to not go to work for a day on the very same day across the country, what would happen? If everyone decided not to pay taxes (because there is no law that states we are required to do this in the first place and THEY are hoping we all don't find this out) what would be the result?. It would be challenging and disrupt our comfortable life styles, but man is a very resourceful being.
    
    I'm stepping down now from the pulpit and continue to have hope because we all want to leave a better world for our children. I admire your efforts on this issue....

  Food control is long here already before time. If not, why so many still consuming meat and dangerous perservatives? How many died from the food control observation and result that we call disease?
