It seems a common thread in various forms of mysticism to say without thy spilling of seed
for transmutational and other purposes.

The verse your thinking of is "He that is born again (or born from above in some translations) does not sin, for his seed remains in him." The seed that remains in him, so that he doesn't sin, is the word of God. The seed of the sower. In reality, there is nothing at all in the Bible having to do with masturbation. There are specific Torah laws against almost every kind of unlawful sexual encounter, including beastiality. Last time I saw the list it says men cannot do oral with men, but apparently its okay for women to receive oral :) And there may be truth to that. I don't agree with many interpretations of scripture here, but it's clear what Paul meant. In particular that Jesus was against marriage. Mark 10, Luke 20 is not about not being married to go to some heaven as the perverted gnotics claim, but an age where we do not die or marry because we are like the angels!
