For too long,
Far too long have I wandered,
A broken man,
Wishing to be healed.
I sought her out,
The one most important,
She who birthed me,
Fed me when I hungered.
But Oh!
Just as the horse rears,
How she said I was wrong.
I hungered once more.
My soul was defeated.
I sought shelter from the tempest.
I sought him out.
He whom I trusted and cared.
But Oh!
He started a strong sail,
Though the storm grew heavy,
And the ship sailed away.
Now I have you.
You are all I have, dear reader.
I have told many what I hide,
Now you are all that's left.
