While most of the world’s ocean turtles are endangered with their populations decimated by over-abuse and other human variables, one New Zealand man chose to take matters into his own particular hands to attempt and save them.

As indicated by a Facebook post submitted by Arron Culling, he and a colleague spotted a few live ocean turtles at a Papua New Guinea market being put aside for food. He said he chose to purchase them and set them free.

“Found these at the local market,” Culling announced on his Facebook last Thursday, “Got them for 50 bucks drove 5km up the road and let them go.”

Culling’s Facebook companions and relatives applauded him for his demonstration of valor in resucing the uncommon ocean animals.

“Karma will come back to you when you least expect it Uncle Arron and it will be amazing!” his niece commented. “Amazing job.”

“The world needs more ninja turtles,” another companion said. “So great work mate!”

Culling said in the Facebook comments that he has saved at least 9 other sea turtles thu far.

This beautiful act of kindness can help to set an example to the rest with intentions to restore animal life in this planet. Animals matter as much as we do so why not take care of them instead of endangering them?

Below are some pictures of Culling and the heroic deed he accomplished along his companion.
