  • La de da   la la la  Establishment, oh great Establishment, You always know what's right...

The clowns in power have been collecting every scrap of dirt they could get their mitts on since the days of Hoover and Nixon, hell, since the days of Nimrod.  Snowden was just telling the sheeple what they didn't want to think about.  McCain is just pathetic, I truly feel sorry for the guy.  "Scuse me, while I go practice the cello and have a conversation that has some truth ringing in it.

Didja know that numbers are magical?

    • YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO KNOW YOUR HISTORY.

The first person to be wiretapped was the first head of the Securities Exchange Commission, and that was Joe Kennedy (by order of Franklin Roosevelt).

It was wrong then, and it is wrong now.

SLAVERY IN THE U.S. SOUTH WENT ON FOR A LONG TIME, AND NOBODY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT FOR A LONG TIME "because it's been going on for some time." AND JUST BECAUSE IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR SOME TIME IT DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT.

I say get a warrant signed by a judge required for such surveillance. And if this process results in massive layoffs of all these cops and lawyers who love their Brooks Brothers suits, I say good. They can join me in the internal medicine trenches and learn to take care of their fellow human beings, instead of tasing people with bad body language.

      • woah!? dude, I'm not being belligerent here...   I'm just saying that all through all of history, both known and unknown, people at all interested in power have been spying and doing it covertly as much as possible.  I'm in agreement with your last paragraph (warrants, etc.)  I know a lot about history but not everything.  Joe Kennedy may have been the first person wiretapped, but certainly not the first to be spied upon.  My first line up there is fatuous.

        • Sorry about that, no aggression intended. I had a bad night at work, and I get awakened by a cat fight outside. Time for some wine and non-redneck country music.

          • No sweat, homie...

  • Real peple use telepathy and face to face communication anyway, so if the govt want to listen to us, they'll have to go back to the old Soviet Style Personal Streetcorner Observer/Recorder-workmode. ;)

  • They may be either blackmailed by powerful sources (i.e. the banks, Israel, the oil and military companies) or they have mental health issues. Power is an addicting privilege, just as money, sex, and cocaine are addictive.

The excessive types of Washington D.C. privileges given to elected officials who push a "yes" or a "no" button didn't really get exposure until after Eisenhower, and Jack Kennedy was the first to be well-known for deciding that such privileges couldn't sway his voting or his decision making as an elected official of the people.

  • I feel pretty safe in saying most of us "accepted" we were/are being recorded when bush was president.

    • Most of us didn't know this type of recording was going on by the government until it was exposed by Edward Snowden (who was an awakened Ron Paul supporter and hence didn't agree with the parties of Coke and Pepsi).

This type of recording is illegal (via 4th Amendment violation), definitely Orwellian, and the hallmark of mentally unstable people in power (regardless of how good looking they are or how wonderful they make us feel that we voted for them).

McCain is another pro-Israeli shill who defends the apartheid going on in Israel. Jimmy Carter and John Kerry somewhat addressed the Israeli apartheid problem; I'm still waiting for Obama and the Clintons to address this problem. Ron Paul is still the only presidential candidate who asked why do we need to send money to a country like Israel when we have our own problems here at home.

      • .really Malcolm ? .most of us didnt know we are recorded and listened to. ..........I dont know about you but many folks knew that for yrs. ........................

uncle Fester aka McCain is such a idiot................time to send him back to jail , thats where he belongs.
