I'm thinking that one of the most powerful tools that can help us all individually on our paths of advancement could be in simply visualizing that all perceived obstacles that might appear in our paths may not be obstacles at all, but could actually be seen as stepping stones on our way up the path of ultimate spiritual understanding... and as long as we keep on this path, we can look at everything from a perspective of, "How does this help me to realize something else about the Big Picture of who I am and what I am to do?"
When we get the idea that something is "bad" for us, we are then creating our own internal conflict, which will in effect create our own stumbling block for ourselves... but when we realize that we are always moving forward, there is no need to believe that something is able to hold us back... we are in our own driver seat and as long as we stay focused on the road to self-discovery and enlightenment, everything should help to point us in that direction.
The basic idea here is to view events in our lives as opportunities for growth and advancement for ourselves, which will help to quickly dissolve something which appears to be an obstacle or a challenge to us, and turn it instead into a learning experience about ourselves which we can grow from.

you know you got me thinking, yea, I kinda got going on my own version of a wordy visualization way of putting it just now, cool:
so I was thinking, that its like a grain, say perhaps, its like recognizing a "grain" to all things, to everything actually, and all the time, perhaps that we keep seeing as against us (and so we against it), though we can recognize this grain, like what you are writing about, and so, it slowly becomes, perhaps, like love, maybe, someday, hehehe, like the veins of a tree, oh wait, like water becoming wine, ahh, hehehe,
so when we try to become conscious of this most of the time, than things are movin forward?
oh, and perhaps theirs different levels of this consciousness that we can have of such a "grain"? as I keep calling it, hehehe
this is more like some broad far-looking view of it actually, I think, hehehe
Thank you... I'm not sure if I "nailed" anything, but hopefully this tool I have offered may help some to lighten up from unnecessary/unhealthy mental chatter. I'm not trying to say this is what it's all about... just offering a tool I know works well on the journey.
I enjoyed your excursion in consciousness, my friend. May your imaginations continue to inspire.
Peace...
