such God-knowing mortals hold in their personal experience the
only positive proof of the existence of the living God which one
human being can offer to another The existence of God is utterly
beyond all possibility of demonstration except for the contact
between the God-consciousness of the human mind and the
God-presence of the Thought Adjuster that indwells the mortal
intellect and is bestowed upon man as the free gift of the
Universal Father.

I did learn that there are no enemies, only "enemies".
It has helped me, but I believe one would have to be prepared to live like an "idiot" in the world to put it into practice.
So, "what is truth?" and how do we recognize it, if there is such a thing?
Then I read the post below which seems to say "you have to work at it": ...never stop seeking wisdom from within yourself and from others...
The way I said, under impulse, what I did say, could easily be misunderstood. At least a question mark is missing from the end of that first statement.
I do not dismiss spiritual teachings but am aware of the danger that instead of strengthening us for the task in hand it can divert us into the spiritual stratosphere.
My concern remains:
How do we distinguish between teachings intended to help us and ones designed to mislead "even the elect"? (I do not imply that Urantia Book is the latter kind, because I do not know). But I am reading another [...] Book saying things like "... do not refuse the things you do not understand or do not know... also do not waste your time trying to understand them...", "...From now on, the help which is to be given is to convey the Truth, not to dress or feed people ..."
So therein lies my reasoning to believe anything that tells you not to seek understanding is not of the truth. Knowledge of anything in this reality is getting to know yourself. "Know thyself". Just as your flesh & material is born of earth your mother, your spirit is born of the universe, your father. It is important you learn how both work, because they are who you are. You were born into perfection, it took trillions of years for you to be evolved into what you are, learn to be appreciated, learn to truly respect the power of all. Which is the power of you. Within you is held the entire evolution of the universe, all the laws of the universe apply to you, it is in your DNA, it is within your structure, it is within your functions. Be humbled by that. Realize just how important we are, yet how unimportant. See that is the duality, we see both sides of the coin, both the spiritual and the material. We can realize the odds of our life ever being, and see importance, yet be humbled by the vast size of the universe and appreciate all that we can not comprehend but yearn to. That is what makes mortal life the gift. This is the time when we as god create more by learning more about ourselves, just on a smaller scale, working through the collective consciousness of mankind through love. When love grows stronger. When people begin to believe in themselves which usually is spawned by a belief in god, oneness, the universe and nature, things begin to progress for the better.
So never stop learning, never stop seeking wisdom from within yourself and from others who are sharing in this collective experience.
What was your first spiritual experience?
