Utah lawmaker moves to disarm BLM, IRS, says ‘They’re not paramilitary units’

Rep. Chris Stewart of Utah, concerned about the armed agents that surrounded Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s property, is mulling a measure to cut funding for any “paramilitary units” that work for the Bureau of Land Management, the Internal Revenue Service and other federal regulatory agencies.
“There are lots of people who are really concerned when the BLM shows up with its own SWAT team,” he said, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. “They’re regulatory agencies. They’re not paramilitary units, and I think that concerns a lot of us.”
His mulled amendment to an appropriations bill comes in context of recent BLM actions against Mr. Bundy: The federal agents armed themselves and surrounded his property, tasered his son, closed down road access to the ranch and even shot a couple of his prize bulls. The reasons? Mr. Bundy hadn’t paid his grazing fees to the federal government, but rather fought the matter in court.
Militia from all over the nation came to the ranch to support Mr. Bundy in his standoff with the BLM — and for that, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid labeled them “domestic terrorists,” various media reported.
The BLM finally backed off and left — but not before a shocked nation expressed outrage at the government’s armed stance against a man who, at the root, was guilty of not paying a bill.
Mr. Stewart said it’s high time the government end its practice of arming its own special units for various agencies, like the BLM and the IRS.
“They should do what anyone else would do,” he told the Salt Lake Tribune. “Call the local sheriff, who has the capability to intervene in situations like that.”
The Interior Department, for its part, said the BLM and National Park Service had armed agents at Mr. Bundy’s ranch to guarantee the safety of the public and of their workers.

I don't have a TV. And, what I have spouted is the information that was provided in articles you tried to peddle and misrepresent on the subject the first time you tried to make a storm in a glass of water.
So, the information I spout here originally comes from you. You didn't highlight it when you posted it though but it certainly was there.

The pictures I posted, are the same pictures you guys praised the last time you tried to peddle this little scam. But when you used the pictures you called the people in them heroes. I were just curious how you would react when posted to support the exact opposite, and now you claim the pictures aren't even real?
Does that mean you lied when you called these people militia, since they were never there in the first place?
The BLM had weapons. All they needed was a sheriff. THE PEOPLE are NOT the criminals here, the BLM is.

The people were just "bystanders" by definition. Some of them decided to aid the criminal though and when BLM realized they couldn't conclude the scenario without risking injuring the people who were there, they deicded to pull out.
Stop defending this criminal or I'll send the Chinese to invade you while ordering NATO to let'em. The chinese needs your land and since you owe them so much money anyway you can just pack your things and go back to europe, if they'll have you that is. ;)
I saw pictures from that "protest" and some of the protesters were armed with automatic weapons, and you complain about tasers? ;)

A U.S. citizen caught owning an automatic weapon faces ten years in a Federal penitentiary and a $10,000 fine, and the Federal government is currently looking hard and are anxious with catching U.S. citizens owning such firearms to validate their gun grabbing agenda. NO MILITIA MEMBER OR PATRIOT WOULD BE THAT STUPID.

You know, the illegal aliens come here and GRAZE and get free health care, free housing, free food, but they must send some BLM agents with GUNS when some cattle are grazing "Illegally". (Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?)
it screams that our fed is not being directed by Americans-why did our military go to afghanastan, kick the taliban out of certain areas of the country only to have foreign companies go in and get at the raw materials including the Chinese gov who won the oil concession-our soldiers died, wounded, traumatized and US taxpayer is footing the bill-we should have all the concessions and this would pay for the war -actually we should never have gone there -we are being sorely used by international gangsters
