Whenever a seeker confronts a materialistically inclined soul, the later taking liberty uses the adjectives such as loser, pessimist for whom grapes are sour.
Why such perception?
A simple cursory look reflects that some pain, failure, suffering, discontent mostly directs one to find what lies behind the VEIL.
everyone has to undergo pain at some point of journey in many of the forms however reactions are different varying from soul to soul because of conditioning.
Mostly the emotionally overcharged or perfectionists are the first one to start digging inside WHY ME- the beginning of the journey inside.
Everyone has different reason for undertaking such journey but the destination is same.
With little travelling the futility of materialism is exposed but the conflict between the materialistic and spiritual continues in mind because of conditioning and prevailing atmosphere or circumstance.
This conflict continues till one obtains clarity on the subject matter.
There are moments of human weakness and strength because of the conflict inside but truth is revealed only to those who withstand these tests.
the determination only leads to clarity - FAITH " there is a creator behind every creation".
materialistic attitude is not bad, not a sin but an indicator that time is not ripe for the dip inside, accept it.
Mind in conflict can never lead to WHAT IS, as it is influenced.
if one is searching for the truth, the basic preparation is having no prejudice and belief in EQUALITY, belief will become KNOWING with experiences in the journey.
Am I treading the right path is a question a seeker shall never ask self in the journey, because the scenery around speaks for itself.
No two experiences can ever be same so no comparison.
Anything with adjective can be anything but never the truth as truth is simply TRUTH.
We are no different.
If feeling of discontent on any issue / matter / subject prevails in mind then first douse it with what would lead to contentment, otherwise what one thinks as a journey for knowing is nothing more than running away from situation- a perfect recipe for wasting a life.
Learn to respond than to react to situation.

Act!
Action will delineate and define you.
remember knocked down does not mean you have to stay that way.
get up & give up your past, if you want to grow spiritually.
Remember most limitations are self imposed
many get caught in the outer world searching for the thing within.
do not just go through life blindly,create your own journey.
nothing more than focused attention is required to realize the truth.
Accept the darker side, understanding it helps to move with the light.
