What could be next?

So here i am, after living in Belgium,France,Sweden,USA, i moved to Puerto Rico and got married. After 28 years in the restaurant bussiness i want to change and do something else. Now being able to speak 5 languages fluently(not writing,as you can see) i was wondering how i could make this more part of my profesional life.In conversations i can jump from one language to the other without any problems at all, i seem to be able to reason in them all at once. The only downside i can think of is that i have no degree as a translator or interpret.Let's see where my new thinking takes me,and how long it will take in this so called 'me making my own reality'

  • Teaching language, teaching at an international school, tour guide, accommodation host, international relations. Is it really necessary to have degrees etc to work as an interpreter?
    • I am thinking about it i might go for Sight translator(person that translates from one person to another in their presense,or work for a interpret phone service and work from home. I knew a woman in Stockholm that helped people and tourists that were in hospitals translating what docters said and helped them with the paper work. Interesting where this is going...as for the degree, it seems you do need one if you want to work for big corporations, politicians or the UN etc etc...:)).
      • Good luck, keep us posted : )
        • Might take a while...lol...in Puerto Rico everything is Manana...
          • probably tour guide. and you can take them out partying and dining and such. i dont know whether puerto rico has the same requirements as the mainland but everything here requires certifications and degrees (totally part of this corrupt system) especially the hospital and legal stuff.
  • Cedric, you might consider getting a job with the United Nations. lol Just kidding. I did a lot of venting yesterday, so, I'm in a very frivolous "mood" today. Lalalalalalala.
    • Wel i did think about it...lol...

Malcolm commented on Malcolm's blog post ASTROLOGY ANALYSIS OF THE DEATH OF ACTOR GENE HACKMAN (1930 - 2025). Was it lack of air (since respiratory medical cases exploded in numbers in Santa Fe in Feb. 2025) OR was it a murder?
"Check out this CDC description of Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), which is what Betsy Arakawa died from. The lungs get filled with fluid; hence there is a lack of breathable air..... "Four to 10 days after the initial phase of illness, the late…"

Malcolm commented on Malcolm's blog post URANIAN ASTROLOGY ANALYSIS: primary/stronger probability for "non-murder" for Gene Hackman's "death formula" (on the 90 degree dial) WINS BIG. The secondary/weaker probability (for "murder") FAILED.
