I've seen a lot of interesting stuff about when the Mayan calender ends, but what was going on when it began? What were we doing the last time the galaxy reached this position? I just got an image in my head of stepping into the kitchen to make a sandwich, and returning to my living room to find out that 12 days had passed in my living room in the time it took to make a sandwich in the kitchen. I hop in my car to drive to work, but when I get there, the gas is $18 a gallon and there's nothing but bikes and scooters parked outside. When I step inside the building, I don't recognize anybody, and Dunkin's is now some kind of pasta bar so I decide not to work that day. I leave the store, turn the corner, and find that my car is a rusted husk so I check my phone to see how much time it takes a car to rust into a relic. 6AM sharp! At least I got to work on time!
Seriously though. What went down the last time this happened?
