first of all, you need to ask yourself, what does it mean to be you. Then, what is it about you that makes you who you are and the all of that you are as a part of society. Then ask yourself, why and what difference or change does it make if it were to suddenly disappear, therefore always being conscious of what you are doing and of your environment around you. Once that is done, you then have to figure out, what that means for everyone else as a part of a group or culture of people and therefore you have just answered the first major step in what it means to be human.
The next step is figuring out what are common universal human traits that you possess. If you find yourself knowing that you have them (besides in general, physical shape and so on) then you have just figured out one of the 3 main questions that philosophers could not seem to answer which is, how important are you to the community at large, if you really did nothing at all to contribute to it. Then, you must understand yourself from many different angles in order to figure out how others could potentially see you as. Since the realms of possibilities are practically endless, you must think outside the box in order to have a clear view at how you look from all sides of speculation.
Some may ask, how does this relate to being human? Simply put, humans as a common character trait, love to judge others in a unified point of view. They love to be able to let their ego run free and let it control their every move, which is why there are so many people obsessed with beauty and style of trends. Therefore, many fail to realize their true potential and continue running over useless paths as they try to find themselves from all the wrong places, never looking from within themselves to achieve a better understanding of how they are really like. Therefore it is easy to estimate the amount of people that would rather allow someone to be a strict leader in firmly grounding to an idea and defending it so that they are able to follow rules much more easier. By nature, we are creatures of empathy and creativity. If you take that away from us by denying it from society, you are left with heartless and empty minded robots which do only for the good of a set industry and goes against so much of what they believe and yet it is how this society is run today.
Essentially, what it means to be human is this. Are you a robot of society, are you your own personality, do you and would you stand up for yourself no matter what to gain your independence from any idea, company or business and will you hold your ground in your beliefs of an idea regardless of illusions? Do you have the courage to know in your heart what you firmly believe in is a good idea, can you sense others feelings around you, do you sense and observe simultaneously, are you able to say what you truly want with out fear of holding back for fear of hurting others, are you able to evolve spiritually and physically to challenge yourself to a new experience and are you someone that trusts in yourself to ultimately bring you through time what you always have wanted and never give up until you are satisfied with it?
Have you asked yourself any of these questions before making a clear call to action about who you objectively and truly are as a being before moving onward as you know that this is a fact that you can build on. Have you ever come to the conclusion that what may seem solid to you is the most unstable to everyone else, are you ready to face that fear open mindedly as you are able to adapt and be accustomed to a new and better idea? Do you believe that someone is helping you achieve the goals that you set for yourself and if you are lost, can you trust the universe to help you find your way back home again if necessary?
Can you see the signs to look out for in terms of metaphoric meaning and similarities between what is fact and what appears to be reality, are you able to define those differences and is able to point out exactly where the turning point of each one is located? Do you judge yourself based on the things that you already know, or do you go further and want the whole picture before making an opinion on a given idea? Are you able to see other characteristics in people that you can make a clear call to action on as far as being able to realize what you do and do not wish to associate yourself with, are you able to redirect yourself to new ideas and give an honest effort in trying to see things from a gods eye view before allowing yourself to believe in something? Are you afraid of the unknown and is able to move onward and facing challenge as a step forward in evolution or are you the type of person that would rather stick with what you know and build on top of that to potentially make a stable foundation out of evidence that you have tested and has proven to work for you, if so, do you see yourself as superior to others because of your actions or are you able to move onward and realize that there is so much more to your work that it will naturally gain favour because it holds true value in both fact and solidity.
These are only the beginning of the questions that needs to be asked before you can truly make a decision on weather or not you know what it means to be human. Independently, there are many solutions to this problem as there always is to every problem, however there is a lot of unclear personal things as well which you must ask yourself in order to make your own views on such a broad topic. For example, do you believe that independence comes from finding a strength from within you or do you believe that it comes from knowing from facts and personal experience what is right and what cannot be proven to be right. Are you someone that believes in logic, or are you someone who needs a meaning of a bigger picture to be able to have the ability to judge a given situation. All is correct in their own way, there is no right or wrong answer to this problem and the solutions are many however few are bound to be universal because there are so many different parts to this issue that a lot of people need to see themselves before they are able to make a decision on whether or not they agree with something.
To make a long story even longer, does your feelings matter to you about how you run your life emotionally or would you rather see it purely based on traditional fact. Is balance key to life or do you see truth as an aspect of reality. It is up to you, however one thing I ask of you, is this. If you were someone else, in any way possible, would you want to be this person indefinitely or would you require change in order to satisfy your inevitable craving for movement? If you were to incarnate as a god, would you favour the abilities or the experience? These will help determine your side of reality, if you answered yes no or both to any of these questions, it is perfect in your own way because that shows that you have balanced yourself in your own personality. It shows stability in you because this proves that you know the all of that you re and are ready to move onward with it. If you are stuck answering any of these questions, what you need to do is see yourself in a mirror and think about other possibilities in your life that you would love to have happen, and if it did, what would that in your ultimate end all be all benefit you from and would it be worth your while to do such things. These are all questions that we should be asking ourselves as we grow together as a race of human beings, so, in your opinion, what to you does it mean to be human, and if you have figured this out, what is your ideal reality?
