Are you in a box right now? What's outside of it?

Do you know anybody in a box? What kinda crazy shit would they say if they thought outside of it?

Have you ever lived outside the box or are you always just finding yourself in continuous layers of boxes (at least you got outside that last box) until you say, "Fuck it, I DO live outside the box."

Do you live outside the box, but carry little boxes with you for contrast and fun?

What would happen if everybody just lived outside the box?

  • Thank you AMbadassdoor, you sound real open!  <3 This box is pretty 3D, but sometimes I have seen....other dimensions, like a vaporous slightly transparent rainbow bird one night and my cat Isis saw it too!   My box must be falling apart!  I feel all the boxes are on the way to becoming boxless!  Love you brother!
  • Truthfully, I think we all live inside a box. It might be a different box to most people, but we are still within our own box, defined by our current worldview.

I have a friend who is very 'outside the box' in terms of his lifestyle and thinking, but he is still VERY firmly entrenched within his own box. I know this because he is virtually unable to process new information that does not sit comfortably with his existing beliefs. He rejects it outright, and as a result his views never change.

We all do this to a greater or lesser extent - it's called 'cognitive dissonance'. The important thing is to recognise it in ourselves, and avoid the tendency to reject new ideas etc just because they don't fit comfortably with our existing ideas.

If we are open to new ideas, our box will EXPAND and becoming more all-encompassing over time.

Afterall, there is at least a grain of truth in everything.

    • The cold, roving anti-life cube that sucks all need to progress out of anything that brushes by it until its universe becomes a singularity of no progress.
    • I love how (almost) everyone just ignores you ;)
  • I think I create and build boxes, I get in them, and then I break out of them, OR I make these boxes and then get in them then get bored and make the interiors of the box way cool, then take her for a drive a bit longer

bubbles though, I think I miss those, or perhaps the bubble I am in is in a pinball machine, and theirs no other bubbles/balls, and I am the one in control of the pinball machine

    : )
  • It would be wild!  I have always lived outside the box and always encouraged everyone to do the same but I find myself outside the box without too many "friends".  I was encouraged today when I read something that said the wildfires in AZ had to be and they were deliberately in unpopulated areas that there were several important portals that had to be cleared of brush and debris as well as several that were being cleared by water and that the fires would start up somewhere else in the Northwest.  Said that people key to the opening of the portals were being guided there.  I do not see myself leaving the foothills of Reno, but Hey, maybe I am here to have something to do with portals? Nice thought.  I still encourage everyone to explore life with no corners or walls and to look outside the box at every chance!
