When is one ready to channel? What are ways to work more specifically on channeling?

Im new to this site, but like many of you i do have some prior knowledge of these topics, i guess now i am just trying to clarify some of the things I have learned and to learn more. Today and this week i would like to get more information specifically regarding the path to being a channel. My twin and i have always felt like we were supposed to become greater than ourselves in this lifetime and maybe help the world in some significant way moreso than the average joe. I couldnt tell you specifically what my twin's and i's purpose is, but it feels like we connect to universe easier than most ppl we've met in our life(including family). We arent sure what we are supposed to do, but we know we want to spread love and truth(and to paint and tattoo) to the world.Any way that is why i ask these questionsand i hope someone can help my path towards understanding1. Is everyone able to channel? or is it an attribute that only a few are able to wield(like a superpower), and if so can other humans do other things?(telepathy,flight etc.),2. I know that to become a channel you must first cleanse your physical as well as your emotional bodies. One a physical level what denotes a clean body? Is every drug, even in small and moderate amounts, bad for channeling/general ascension? and i mean every drug(ibuprofren,aspirin, caffiene, thc, hallucigens dmt)3.On the emotional side of things, the more i read what feels like true information, the more i feel like we are not meant to be perfect, but can achieve amazing things. How do you know when your mistakes are disciplined or undisciplined? ( im having a hard time articulation this question)4. On the path to becoming a channel/ general ascension is meant to just go with the flow of your life, or should you take a more direct and more studied/explored approach? Simpler, do you focus on it or let the path unfold and just ride it.5. I know that we are always to give love, however when we meet a dark entity wrapped around a fascade of love, how do we keep them from influencing our path negatively especially if it is a close friend or relative, someone who may be present in the entirety of your life(mother,son, etc.)Any way i know that was alot for now, i do have many questions, i just want to know truth and loveand i am new so if you feel compelled to talk to anyone im always in the mood to discuss.Amor y PazOscar

      I agree with you 100%, Barron. One will find a lot of useful info from the websites you mentioned. And I enjoyed them very much.

      'Opening to Channel' by Sanaya Roman (in my opinion) is one of the best books on the 'how to' of channeling. It's my favourite book on channeling, because way back in 2004, my beloved Guide introduced himself through this book.

      According to Sanaya, "The focus of this book is on how to channel a guide. All of the processes can be used to connect with and channel your higher self as well. If you desire to channel your higher self rather than a guide, ask for this connection as you begin the processes. You may also want to read Orin's book: Spiritual Growth: Being Your Higher Self; which specifically assists you in connecting with, channeling, and BEING your higher self.
