Buddha was sitting unter a tree when a monk came close.

Lord, the man said, where does knowledge lead to?

Buddha smiled and replied:

There are two kinds of knowledge in this world: there are those who know much about a subject, and there are those who do not know much about all.

At the end there are those who know much about nothing, and those who know nothing about all.
